Philtre de Parfum - or the potent balsamic vanilla of the Shalimar!
Oh Philtre, we got off to a bad start by mistake. When I first tested you (after opening for business after a long lockdown...) I must have caught a tester who was so spoiled that it just caused facial expressions on my face that suggested disgust. I'd read a lot about the scent beforehand, of course, and thought surely this can't be true - spoiled, scratchy acidity is supposed to go down so well...? What's wrong with my nose?

Every time I visit a perfumery now I have avoided Philtre, too - in a negative sense - impressive was my first fragrance experience. I gave the fragrance nevertheless a few days ago still a chance - there must be finally something to the fragrance, if here so many rave :)

So I tested it and was surprised: it overcame me such a fluffy-sweet lemon-mountain moth combination, which already hinted at the vanilla in the background, that it was done around me. At this point, however, I did not yet know that the top note was not the highlight, because it is to become even more beautiful...

Philtre is exciting! I have never in my young perfume experience experienced a fragrance on my skin (except for Angelique Noire and Mon Guerlain Intense) that has such a fabulous scent progression. The citrus remains perceptible for about half an hour, but it quickly becomes clear: the sweet, quite unsmoky vanilla is the star here (unlike in the Shalimar EdP, which I unfortunately don't like.) Paired with the beautiful jasmine, the scent evolves into an opulent, balsamic vanilla scent that stays with me all day (and my skin likes to eat scents, so rarely do scents linger on my skin for long - mean!) Every now and then, a gossamer vanilla scent tail reaches me, making me daydream with pleasure.... hach :)

Compared to the classic Shalimar - which leaves me completely unaffected - Philtre draws me in. At first sniff, it does indeed seem a bit vintage, but only slightly and to an acceptable degree (if - like me - you don't want to wear vintage scents à la Shalimar EdP or Chanel No. 5) But even that hint of vintage fades away along with the citrus, leaving behind a slightly younger and fluffier Shalimar that is much more wearable and pleasing.

A special fragrance, I'm in love!

Le plus beau parfum de ma vie!
I was lucky enough to test Guerlain fragrances in Munich today and this one was simply the most beautiful scent I've ever had under my nose, just amazing! (: I was speechless by this literally stunning beauty of this fragrance - delicate, filigree, pure, innocent, elfin - these are adjectives that come to my mind when I should capture this fragrance in its character. It is the most beautiful orange blossom I have ever had the pleasure of sniffing and overall this fragrance is fabulously coordinated, a perfect fragrance par excellence for me! This is not only what I want to smell like on the most beautiful day of my life, but preferably every day, which is why I would rename it "Le plus beau parfum de ma vie", hehe (: I already thought I found the most beautiful Guerlains with Mon Precieux Nectar or Angelique Noire (both beautiful!) but this one I will never forget, this perfection is unique for me! I feel like I'm walking on air, like I'm enchanted into another beautiful pink world where there are no worries, but I feel like everything is going to be okay with this fragrance. Cheesy, but I really feel that way! On top of that, it's one of the rare scents that stays on my skin for a long time, I think that's fabulous! (: I need to get a bottle in asap, even if the wedding isn't coming up yet! (:

A fragrance that brought me to tears (:
I'll keep it short: Deja Vu White Flower is the first fragrance in a long time that I've really fallen for right off the bat! (: For me, this fragrance has a uniqueness, radiant, delicate femininity and in that its striking that I fell in love right away. When I was testing my bottling of the scent from a very dear one here on Parfumo, I exclaimed in my apartment "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, HALLELUJAH!" (several times!) and was moved to tears by this beauty of a scent (: I'm a "sensitive" too though.... *smirk*

The whole composition is so gorgeous! Now I'm a bit of a vanilla and white flower lover, but far from all of them, only really well made, "modern" and not too synthetic ones. Both are so wonderfully accomplished in this fragrance, and the fabulous chords of pear and nectarine in the top notes go fabulously with those delicate white flowers and beautifully delicious vanilla (: The scent remains relatively linear, just deviating a bit from its original form as it progresses. It definitely gets warmer on my skin, but the initial impressions of the scent linger for several hours and every now and then a delicate tail of fragrance reaches my nose. Now the sillage is not the best and the fragrance also does not last very long, but still I think, just for this - for me never been there so fragrance - the price is justified (v. a. with regular discount promotions at Sephora)
Due to the somewhat low durability and sillage I intend to buy the "Hair Mist", since this is supposed to hold probably the whole day.

If you like sweet, but not too sweet, feminine, vanilla, unique yet pleasing floral scents, you should definitely try this one!
I also recommend "Musk" by Kayali (which is also incredibly great, you smell nice and fresh when you wear it and layered both are beautiful) or also Vanilla, who would like to sniff a deep, authentic vanilla.

Beautiful fragrance with a "twist" - for individualists
I'm not really a person of big words, but I feel compelled to write a review for my favorite, the Jil - especially in light of the production shutdown, which I can't relate to... it didn't deserve that! Nor did it deserve to sit at the bottom of the shelves for years - no wonder production was stopped if it was never seen. I now hope to increase demand for the fragrance with my review and stop the production shutdown :D

The scent is initially very peppery, lavender "laden" and powdery, but at the same time pleasantly sweet. I observe a beautiful development on my skin, of a very special and extraordinary kind. You can see the clear, minimalist line, which is usual for Jil Sander and through the combination of the pepper and lavender notes with the beautiful heliotrope, a lulling powder dream develops - but not powdery like for example Narciso "Pourdrée", but very gentle. But what I find most beautiful is the base, which is also perceptible on my clothes for several days: an incredibly inviting fragrance, in which I feel comfortable and those closest to me feel comfortable - delicate vanilla, amber and musk, all three not too strong and slaying, but quite delicate, soft, flattering... i also detect the heliotrope and some of the lavender here! I think the fragrance is great...! He also comes well with men - I've often been asked what I'm wearing because beautiful (:
I find Jil very individualistic, not boring at all, because I perceive some twist here that I don't know how it comes about.... It smells very different from the other "mainstream" fragrances. Other Jil Sander fragrances I also like very much, but none could convince me as Jil (:

Minimal similarity to "Mon Guerlain" by Guerlain - especially because of the lavender and vanilla, but they always smell different from each manufacturer (:
