Rossiniopera

From memory: a fresh, 70s-style aldehyde-rose-woody chypre à la Calandre and En Avril un soir.

Luscious, sweet and musky carnation with some sandalwood. Similar to New York, New York from same brand, but a little juicier, less dusty.

I expected a dark rose on a heavy base, but found instead a very light, fresh pink rose. I'm surprised they made this back in 1949.

Gorgeous woody-oriental with sweet beeswax, but the strong cedar note tends to get stuck in my throat and can sometimes be a challenge.

Green, fleshy, almost tobacco-spicy orchid. Well-crafted and powerful, but not really a perfume that I am comfortable wearing.
