Similar to the EdP version
Oud wood parfum obviously shares the same DNA as Oud Wood EdP. I do not feel that it is darker, rather it is much more soft and gentle i would say. The drydown is more powdery and balsamic.
It is still a good perfume. Great for the office and generally a safe scent to wear. I personally would never pay retail price for this, insane pricing for this simple perfume. And you can also argue why they even made a flanker instead of bringing Oud Wood back to its old self. Cash grab is the trend.

Iris Cacao
Not much Iris in this one. Opening definitely barnyard oud, drydown more of a thick chocolate/cocoa, still animalic and chip fertilizer in the background. It is decent. Not my favourite. The Castoreum is sweet but also animalic. Think it gives the chocolate/cocoa a lift.

Underrated scent
Yes this is not some extraordinary niche perfumery, but i do see these go for very cheap prices on the second hand market. And if you can get it at a steal price then you should imo.
Many fragrances resembles Centaurus but what the others lack is that Creed light/airy feeling to the perfume and also it is very rounded, it does not get sticky or ”thick” as many Will in this category.
I get Many compliments wearing this.
As a whole it smells almost like candy. If you separate the notes in the air you get cinnamon, geranium and Jasmine undertone. All the base notes gathers beautifully in the background.

Extraordinary perfumery
I Will start off by saying that there are not many that like this on me. Which i find very weird.
Because i absolutely love this. This is perfumery on a whole other level.
The beautiful Peach compote with what seems to be a Tea note works splendidly together. The honey, Tobacco. So rounded.
I would love to get a chance to try more from this house.

Aventus - My signature fragrance
Oh Aventus, not my first bottle from Creed though, Royal water was actually my introduction to the brand Creed.
Aventus was my second purchase from Creed. I am a person that usually do not follow the sheep, and do not like to buy into hyped-scents, i would like to stand out with my fragrances but despite that, through a sample several years ago, i must admit i did fall in love with Aventus.
At first i did not know anything about batch-variation and were not part of that world/community, engaging in different forums and what not. But i knew it existed after owning my 3rd bottle of Aventus, something was missing or something were different, some performed better, other notes were prominent and the list goes on and on.
I have found many different batches that i liked and like, with different personalities but that still maintains that beautiful Aventus DNA.
What is Aventus? Mainly pineapple opening, or citrus. Peppery, woody, musky drydown. Could be hints of beautiful vanilla lurking in the background aswell. All these notes blends beautifully together. Depending on batch you could get hints of jasmin, anise, heavy birch aswell.
Also known for pencil-shavings like drydown.
This is a masculine leaning scent. Never been a beast longevity-wise, but some older batches perform better than the newer ones, and yes there are older batches that does not perform aswell. 2024-25 though, has been a great year for Aventus. That batch variation still exists, a part of me kind of wants it to be that way, strangely enough.
Final words:
In my opinion, clones and dupes do not match Creeds quality, something just does not feel right to my nose.
You are masculine and have a good head on your shoulders. You wear Aventus.
