When I first found out about the house of Creed, it was an eye opener. My introduction into the realm of niche perfumery. Little did I know, this house was a gateway drug for me. Millésime Impérial and Green Irish Tweed were my first two hits off the pipe. Then....I stumbled into a Neiman Marcus and found the Creed counter. "Have you tried Aventus ?" "No, I haven't." Smelled that.... oh this is good! What's that? I'm the grey bottle? "Oh that's Aventus Cologne but try this Aventus again." Tried the Aventus Cologne and "I want this one! Put it in the bag!" 200 bottles of fragrance and 150 decants later this is still my top complement getter..... by far! Leaves the best scent trail ever. Not knocking Aventus but I will attest the ladies love this one better. #Aventus is more for the bro-mantics out there.

The underrated (still though?!)

As is the case with many new releases from popular brands, the community often start with negativity. So happened with Aventus Cologne too.
Now, that we passed a few years many see the added value, or the true power of this fragrance.

With Cologne in the name many may think that this is a thin (cologne) version of the original, but no that is not the case. This is an EdP concentrated (like the Original) fragrance which does not have any "cologne style" vibes but the name here probably refers to a style of scent that is more airy and fresh. This because some ticker elements of the original are replaced. The vanilla in the original, and the smokiness are not here or at least a lot toned down. The fruitiness of the original is present in the Cologne as well, but I feel that the fruit selection in the Cologne is of a fresher variant. Where the original is Pineapple based (its signature), the main player here is Oranges.

With many already suggesting that; the smell of Aventus Cologne feels like a combination of the original and Chanel's Allure Homme Sport, both gorgeous fragrances and in this fragrance combined beautifully.

I tend to grab Aventus Cologne more often as I feel it is more versatile. It has sporty elements but also classy elements, and suits every type of weather. Performance is above average for me, with at least 7 hours.

Aventus Cologne is a great addition to the Creed line up, and I think after those years many would agree!

Not too bad

I have this nice scent since a few days so a very comprehensive review I cannot write as of now, but the few first impressions which I have, I would like to share them with you below:
- It does smell a bit like Allure Homme Sport EDT, but it´s not 1 to 1.
- It has this fresh citrussy smell, similar to the newest Aventus batches in the opening.
- After 4 hours it still projects quite decent, I get nice whiffs of fresh scent from 2 sprays on the arm.
- The packaging comes with foil and my 2021 Batch has a light color, it´s not entirely transparent like Aventus is.

The longevity is very surprising, mine projects about 4 hours and then it stays close to the skin up to 9 hours. I am happy with the purchase, I got mine with a good offer so I do not judge it so harshly like when you pay full retail. For 260€ what CREED asks its insane to consider paying that, but under 200€ is a good scent for summer if you ask me.

It is nice for a Creed, but way behind the Allure Homme Edition Blanche which costs 3 times less, so if you think about a nice citrussy smell, go with the CHANEL .. and if you want a CREED absolutely, look for a deal and enjoy it.

Not different, but good

Aventus cologne is not a perfume that discovers a new type of fragrance or an aroma different from what is already known, but its Creed DNA is latent in it.

The opening is the purest vibrant and energizing mandarin with an unmistakable base of Creed fragrances.

If you want something different, this is not your perfume. If you want something safe and winning, Aventus cologne is a guaranteed hit.

Aventus Cologne

Aventus Cologne was released in 2019, 9 years after it's big brother Aventus. To me it was a great addition to the King. Instead of pineapple & apple in topnotes we here get a lovely Mandarin note that suits warmer weather great. I find many Aventus batches to be to heavy for summer, this cologne works perfect for that. Its more more fresh ans bright and will get most compliments when wearing it. I get a good longevity out of my batch (19P01) around 8 hours with those first hours of very nice projection too. All in all one of the best summer frags I know.
