This is what Miraculix's magic potion must have smelled like (+ small comparison with Cologne perfume)
Actually, from my point of view, other fragrances would have been more deserving of a review, as I have had them for longer or have a longer relationship with them. I only received Elysium pour homme in the souk today and yet I spontaneously wanted to write another review because I am simply thrilled by the fragrance. The purchase was just as spontaneous, as I sold a few fragrances and actually wanted to put the money towards Isola Blu, which has been on my list for a while. Without Elysium being on my list, however, I then thought back to the bottling, which I had emptied super quickly, and then spontaneously picked it up. Sometimes it's like that, maybe because it fits a little better in the cold season. Now to the fragrance:

As mentioned in the title, the Elysium perfume is like a magic potion for me. A magic potion like Miraculix, because it is totally complex and extremely invigorating. Very fruity, spicy, citrusy, aromatic and simply like an essence to spray on. It could also go in the direction of punch, but you can't clearly categorize it. Admittedly: The pure fragrance DNA is nothing totally new and has certainly been smelled somewhere before. In my opinion, Aventus goes in a similar direction. However, what makes a Roja fragrance for me is that familiar concepts are elevated to an almost perfect level. I also find this with Danger, for example, which is very close to Guerlain Heritage, which I currently own. However, Danger is much finer and will probably have to come along at some point.
With Elysium, the notes form an overall concept, which is difficult to describe. I associated the Parfum Cologne as a Fanta fragrance, here it is much more difficult for me and I would recommend everyone to make up their own mind. To summarize, however, it starts out fruity and citrusy, but the spices and resins play a role from the beginning. There is also something woody and a slight sweetness, so that the fragrance can also be recommended in the colder months of the year. When I was outside at around 8-9 degrees, the fragrance was still clearly perceptible on my skin and almost had a warming effect. I think it is therefore suitable for every season and every occasion. As the fragrance progresses, it takes on a slight chlorine note, which diminishes again in the base. You have to like this note. As I've always loved the smell of chlorine in swimming pools, it suits me perfectly. Perhaps this is due to the juniper berries in the base? The fragrance becomes milder after a while and lasts for several hours on me. However, it is rather close to the body and doesn't radiate that far, which should be mentioned. Overall, however, I can recommend the Elysium perfume without reservation and see it as a super elegant evergreen :)

A small statement about the perfumes and perfume colognes: I would definitely go for the perfume version of Elysium, Vetiver and Danger and avoid the perfume cologne version. For me, the latter lack that super fine and essence-like quality that makes the fragrances so special. In these cases, I consider the Parfum Colognes to be washed out and somewhat unspectacular for the money. With Scandal, on the other hand, I would go for the Parfum Cologne, as I find it milder and not as sharp as the Parfum. I don't yet have a comparison with Enigma.
