Wow now we are talking

This is a beautiful fragrance. I'm a big fan of Roja Dove but have issues with pricing and Longevity of many of his fragrances.
I don't think Mr Dove smelt Aventus and decided oh I can make that better and more potent. This is his unique creation and boy is it good.
Finally a fresh citrus scent that lasts. But it's so much more and quite complex. It's very smooth but has good projection. I find I'm smelling myself constantly and have a very luxurious cloud around my body.
It's woody and slightly dusty with very amazing natural citrus notes. I'm early on into smelling this fragrance but it does change over the 2 hours I have been wearing it.
It's a sexy, warm weather fragrance which is perfect summers night out on a Mediterranean island. So good.

Quite different to Parfum Cologne, and a clear upgrade

After my amazing experience with the phenomenal Parfum Cologne, of course I had to try the Parfum version. And oh boy did this not disappoint. In this review, I will overlook the price and break down only the scent. Unfortunately, it is the best, most refined luxury fresh perfume I have ever tried. And I say unfortunately because it is extremely expensive, and almost 4 times as expensive per milliliter than the Parfum Cologne. But I am reviewing the scent, not the price.

To me, both versions have their core similarities but in the end are quite different. As I'm writing this I am currently trying both of them side by side on both my arms. While I get a fresh airy apple fresh shampoo and watery cucumber vibe from the Parfum Cologne, I don't really get that with the Parfum. The Parfum is more refined; the airy quality is toned down and replaced with a heavier dose of vetiver and opulent ambergris with a base of labdanum, benzoin and vanilla. You can truly feel that this has much better quality than the Parfum Cologne. The experience with Parfum is more smooth, creamy and refined. The similarities between them are the citruses in the opening as well as a "crispy" green apple as the brand puts it. However, in the Parfum Cologne I get a shampoo vibe like Head & Shoulders apple fresh. I don't get that with the Parfum. The Parfum smells extremely natural, using very few synthetic materials to create the scent. The synthetic materials only appear in the very far drydown at around 8 hours, when the fragrance is finally dying down. At that stage you get more of an earthy woody vetiver and ambroxan. It is noticeable that the Parfum Cologne utilizes more synthetic materials as the entire experience with that fragrance is less smooth and a bit more harsh than that of the Parfum.

I read somewhere that the attire that fits this masterpiece of a fragrance is the most prestigious brand of regular clothes, maybe something like Loro Piana or Brioni. I agree fully. But the brand is not labeled, you can tell because of the quality of the materials and the fit on the person that wears it. This doesn't really remind me of a fragrance that you wear with a suit. It's more of a scent that you wear with high quality regular clothes, maybe to an upscale event or bar during the spring and summer.

In conclusion, this is one of the absolute best fresh fragrance I have ever tried. It has mass appeal, and oozes elegance and quality. This is one of the more wearable Roja's that I have tried. It is extremely versatile and literally anyone could wear it. It is not leaning mature or older masculine like some of Roja's other creations tend to be. If I get rich or have a lot of money to spare I will grab me a full bottle (Roja please send me a bottle)

Smooth and refined!

This truly blows the cologne out of the water! It's overall just so much smoother and has a more prominent sweet vetiver note in the drydown that is incredibly addictive. The night time version of Elysium with the cologne being much more of a daytime casual scent. 10/10!

Not Aventus at all!

The citrus and fruity musk opening does remind me of Aventus a little, I guess. However, I do not really see this as Aventus-like fragrance and warn you, blind buyers: don't! Don't assume this is just an Aventus clone, it is not!!! After Aventus like opening, the fragrance goes into traditional fougere territory and pretty much stays there. I would say, quality wise, this is same or better than Aventus. Longevity is better than Aventus. Projection is very soft for this type of scent (Roger Dove likes it to be personal scents, discovered not announced,so it is by design). I find this more suitable for 40+ crowd. This a scent for a man who achieved all he wanted in life and does not want to prove anything to anyone :) Great scent, test it on skin before buying! The only fougere I have in my collectiom, I typically hate fougeres! :)
