With Narcisse, I somehow can't quite warm up, even though I actually like the scent.

In terms of quality, there is little for me to criticize. It feels cleanly composed, pleasant, and overall quite high-quality. However, I perceive it as distinctly more feminine than masculine. This doesn't make it worse, but it's something that I notice repeatedly while wearing it.

Maybe I'm just imagining it, but every now and then I actually had to think of YSL MYSLF. Not because the scents smell alike, but rather because of this modern, pleasing, and somewhat softer aura.

The more often I wore Narcisse, the more I felt that it leans towards an elegant unisex fragrance. Those who prefer a distinctly masculine, spicy, or dark scent might find something lacking here.

Still, for me, it is a good fragrance that I enjoy wearing. It is pleasant, uncomplicated, and will likely appeal to many people. I just personally would have wished for a bit more edges and character and a bit more masculinity.

Some fragrances try desperately to stand out. They are sweet, loud, project strongly, and want to attract attention at all costs. Ambre Nuit takes a completely different approach for me.

From the very first spray, it becomes clear how clean and harmonious this fragrance has been composed. Nothing feels exaggerated, nothing stands out unpleasantly. Instead, a warm, elegant aura emerges that wraps around the wearer like a tailored suit.

The rose is well-presented but never comes off as feminine. Rather, it lends the fragrance a certain sophistication. Added to this is a soft amber accord that gives the whole composition warmth and depth. The result is a scent that feels luxurious without ever being ostentatious.

What I particularly like: Ambre Nuit works almost always. Whether in the office, at a restaurant, during a meeting with friends, or at special occasions - the fragrance never feels out of place. It doesn’t scream for attention but convinces with class and balance.

While many amber fragrances quickly become heavy, sweet, or oriental, Ambre Nuit remains surprisingly light-footed. That’s exactly what makes it so special for me.

The longevity is good, and the projection is more elegant than overwhelming. Those looking for a scent that fills the entire room will probably not find it here. However, anyone who values quality, style, and wearability should definitely try Ambre Nuit.
For me, it’s one of those fragrances that makes you understand why the Dior Privée collection enjoys such a good reputation. Of course, it’s always a matter of interpretation.

Chopard Amber Malaki was for me one of those fragrances that you spray on and immediately understand why amber lovers rave about it. Right from the start, I am greeted by a warm, sweet amber note that almost feels honey-like. The scent has something soft, rounded, and incredibly pleasant about it.

As it develops, I found myself thinking several times of Xerjoff Casamorati 1888. Whether the two are actually that similar is debatable, but they share, to my nose, this warm, slightly oriental sweetness and luxurious character. Amber Malaki feels a bit more straightforward and focuses more on its core: the amber.

What I particularly like is that the sweetness never comes across as cheap or artificial. It rather reminds me of golden honey flowing over warm wood. Spicy and slightly balsamic nuances join in, adding depth to the fragrance and preventing it from becoming too one-dimensional.

I find the performance to be more than decent. It projects well and lasts several hours on my skin without becoming intrusive.

Those looking for dry, dark, or heavily smoky orientals might find Amber Malaki a bit too sweet. However, anyone who enjoys warm amber scents with a pleasant, almost gourmand aura should definitely give it a try.

For me, it’s a very successful amber fragrance with a comforting character that particularly shines on cooler days. A true recommendation for all who like it warm, sweet, and oriental.

A very masculine, dark scent that feels like the strong version of Ombre Nomade - very spicy, very intense, long-lasting, the sillage is exceptionally good, a very successful fragrance. Leather stands out particularly well. It fits perfectly in any men's gathering. Definitely a very good alternative, especially a more affordable one, to Ombre Nomade.
