Underrated but for good reason
Maison Francis Kurkdjian OUD Extrait de Parfum

Saffron, Vanilla, Virginian Cedar, Elemi, Laotian Oud, Patchouli.

Powdery/Lipsticky, Masculine version of OUD satin mood EDP, silky smooth, creamy, rounded not sharp or skanky at all

Vanilla dominant, Vanilla+Elemi+Saffron = Heaven, by the way the Oud is doing its job by supporting the whole formula.

The best thing you can wear in fall & winter, it’s more masculine than "Oud Satin Mood (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" and "Oud Silk Mood (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian"

is very nice, Well blended, strong but very weareable, bit delicate and very pleasant. It seems to have very good quality ingredients inside. One of the bests ive tried. My absolute favorite from this line was "Oud Satin Mood (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" but fortunately i had this amazing friend on my local buying/selling stuff that we shared the love of perfume world and had many conversations about perfumes and she showed me how to differentiate between legit and fake MFK perfumes (moro Minna miten menee ;) ) so she wanted to sell her "Oud (Extrait de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" and offered it to me and blindly i accepted the offer and bought it right away and God oh my God what a successful purchase. Man i love this perfume and it suits me so much that i bought another 70ml backup bottle few weeks ago, the scent profile m, the longevity & the sillage is just PERFECT. By the way both bottles i have are from first batches 2017-2018 so ( IF ) the newer batches doesn't preform you will know that it’s maybe reformulated. Now i don’t use my 2 bottles of "Oud Satin Mood (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" that much because i do have the king of kings "Oud (Extrait de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian". A true masterpiece that I would wear the whole harsh, frosty & lengthy winter of Finland and I'm happy that it’s underrated because few people use it and know it which means i can enjoy the rarity more.

One of my 5 signature scents

Regal, Opulent & Plasticky
Roja Dove Aoud Review

Aoud initially opens with fantastically bright notes of Lemon, Geranium, Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang however quickly develops more depth and complexity as the Oud, May Rose (the signature rose that Roja Dove uses in his Aoud creations), Saffron and Ambergris become more prominent. These notes blend together so beautifully. The opening feels Plasticky and screeching a bit after few minutes it fades away.

The dry down bears a noticeable similarity to Amber Aoud as the Rose, Saffron & Ambergris is the same. However as it lacks the fig and the resulting scent is much less sweet and instead more dry and woody compared to Amber Aoud. The warm spices of cinnamon and nutmeg are also slightly noticeable (the nutmeg is such a nice touch), however the rest of the notes are so well blended you would struggle to pick them out as we all know Roja Dove does his best work, creating a fragrance that is classical, timeless, complex yet modern & he always take pride in himself to use very high quality taw materials he even uses fractional distillation technique in making his pitch black dark, thick, staining fragrance liquid to make it as clear as tap water so that it won’t stain light colored clothes

Of the 2 Aouds i have (Amber Aoud & Aoud) Amber Aoud to me have the best performance. Aoud is the dryer Amber Aoud is the sweetest & of the 3 Aoud is the most masculine (although as a Middle Eastern we don’t buy this Masculine/ Feminine thing unless is too feminine like for example Viva La Juicy or Tresor)

I've read reviews of those that say his fragrances are just copycats of others before them ( Danger is a copy of Heritage, Fetish is a copy of Moschino PH blah, blah, blah) and I'm not buying that at all too, this how the fragrance industry works right now unfortunately after IFF banned so many raw materials and because of that many fragrances have been reformulated, now everyone is copying the other + look at those blue fragrances for example they all smell the same and i’m not a Roja fanboy not at all I’m not a fan of nobody, i just like some of his creations just like anybody else, who doesn’t like Diaghilev for example or Amber Aoud weather it’s Parfum or Absolue Precieux concentration.

To me this is much more regal and refined than many Rose-Oud perfumes, a one of a kind fragrance and a true modern masterpiece. But to me Amber Aoud will always top it.

The epitome of Luxury
Roja Dove Parfums Amber Aoud Parfum

Top Notes:
Lemon, Bergamot, Lime
Heart Notes:
Rose de Mai, Jasmin de Grasse, Ylang Ylang, Fig
Base Notes:
Cinnamon, Saffron, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Aoud, Benzoin, Orris, Birch, Ambergris, Musk

Roja Dove Amber Aoud Parfum opens up with a bright blast of bright combination consisting of juicy fig and jammy rose. In the background, you'll notice a fresh bitterness with a little bit of sourness from the top notes which slowly fades as it settles onto your skin.

In the mid, you got juicy fig & syrupy saffron supports the rich roses, the combination of Ylang Ylang and the powdery Orris Root gives creaminess to the composition. In the background , Ambergris which is why i adore this perfume is giving warmth and luxurious soft feeling.

The dry down turns more animalic from the combination of musk, civet and smoky birch. I can describe the dry down as animalic/floral/ powdery

Perforamce on me is beastly with 10+hrs of longevity while remaining close to the skin. Versatility wise... I could wear this fragrance both casually and seductively in room temperature dressed up.

Regardless of the price -i don’t recommend paying full retail price, i got my many bottles for 1/2 of the price- i don’t deny that Amber Aoud is blended with high quality ingredients. I just love this perfume until death one of my 5 top tier/top ten perfumes of all time. I’ll make sure to choose my wedding day that suits wearing this perfume.

For me it’s an ambery perfume. Amber Aoud is a smooth, decadent luxurious perfume for the people that love Luxury

I have to thank Dimitri from Dimitri Signature Scent who introduced me to this perfume and my other favorite Rojas Aoud & Diaghilev
