At the first whiff of "Oxygène," my facial expressions briefly falter. I feel unpleasantly reminded of salad that has been accidentally overlooked in the vegetable drawer for days and is starting to rot. This initial shock quickly subsides, as the gardenia begins to break through, but it hardly improves the situation. How can this be? Such a promisingly fresh-looking blue liquid!? Bergamot, rose, and musk, my favorites...? I stick with it and dare to sniff again after a while. A gentle hint of freshness, paired with a lovely, almost sweet cloud of milk and blossom has developed. I search in vain for "aquatic." Pleasant and conciliatory, this fragrance, however, falls short of my expectations.
