It is entertaining to observe that Oud Wood can still be praised so highly despite its laughable 2-hour performance.
In a direct comparison, it is only during the first 5-10 minutes that the original smells deeper. After that, this depth fades and both scents end up on the same level olfactorily.
After 2 hours, Oud Wood can only be perceived up close, while the sillage of Bois Oudh continues to be noticeable in the air.
Bois Oudh, which shows no difference from Oud Wood after the opening, clearly wins the race in the further scent development due to its significantly stronger performance.
Tom Ford fanboys? Accept that a (small) brand from the USA has overshadowed your favorite fragrance. ;-)

Paolo Terenzi is known as a talented and highly professional perfumer. The high-quality fragrances he has created, which largely enjoy respect and recognition in the perfume community, are more than proof of that.
Spirito Fiorentino is definitely not a clone or dupe of BR540, but a completely original scent. The "Baccarat note" is just one of many that play a role throughout the composition of the fragrance. The heavy bottle, which one could occasionally use as a substitute for a dumbbell, is extremely high-quality.
Upon spraying, the leather note combined with the smoky note dominates. Here, I want to emphasize that I have never smelled such a qualitative leather note before. Imagine the scent of the leather seats of a new S-Class, and you have the leather note of SF. The leather note does not dominate for the first 10 minutes as many claim, but rather extends over about an hour, giving the fragrance a masculine flair. Only after that is the Baccarat note clearly perceptible. The longer time passes, the more the Baccarat note stands out. The leather note remains present in the background. From the extremely captivating combination of the smoky, leathery, and Baccarat notes results an incomparable and attractive sillage that is unmatched in its individuality.
The H/S plays in the Champions League. The fragrance was still perceptible on my skin 3 days (!) later. The fact that this is an extrait version becomes evident. I had the SF compete against the BR 540 edp and asked several women about it. Except for one who found the SF too smoky, everyone else thought that a man should rather reach for the SF, although many did not question the artistry in the masterpiece of Mr. Francis Kurkdjian.

In summary, it can be stated that Paolo Terenzi has created a fragrance with SF that, due to the interplay of qualitative fragrance notes, which I have not seen and perceived in this combination before, possesses a certain exclusivity.

Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male is a fragrance that is very unique. Due to its extraordinary sweetness, it stands out from the crowd. Especially the result of the pear, followed by cinnamon and vanilla, creates an extremely attractive scent. This can be seen from the opinions of the women who had to vote in a YT video between the giant Layton and UM, with the majority (clearly) voting for UM.

My girlfriend has been crazy about this scent for over a year and wants me to wear no other perfume on our dates.
Before my sports class at university, I sprayed the fragrance 3 times because I had been at the gym and had sweated. In the hall, a colleague and I ran into a 30-year-old friend of ours, who instead of greeting us said: “What smells so great here?”
My colleague, who is convinced of his own fragrance and was wearing it that day, just sighed: “It’s that damn party scent of his.”
That’s when I realized that this extraordinary sweetness, which is the reason for the numerous Ultra Male fans, is also the reason why there are so many who celebrate the scent less. Attractive scent? Yes! Masculine? Maybe. The woods in the base note are hardly noticeable. Instead, the sweetness stands out continuously.

Overall, it can be concluded that the fragrance is oddly sweet and striking. In the date fragrance ranking, it ranks very high. I can’t imagine the scent for those over 35. However, if you are younger and looking for a date fragrance, you can’t go wrong with UM!
