COLD WEATHER REVIEW

Performance: 7 hour skin scent
I will preface this by saying Acqua di Gio Profumo performs excellent in hot weather, but in sub 60 degree temperatures its just a skin scent. Though the cold did not affect its staying power.
This is my favorite in the AdG line (I have not put my nose on Absolu). I enjoy that it is salty and herbaceous. The mineral notes are the most prominent and the herbs and incense give Profumo a darker, cooler edge to AdG hence the black bottle. Despite the edginess this is comes across as smooth and well blended; I would not expect less from Giorgio Armani. I thought the darker tone would do excellent in cold weather but I am mistaken. It can be pretty beastly in the summer.
I wear this as a warm weather daily, to the office and fun/casual dates. You can also wear this is you work outside, play sports or want to turn heads at the gym. It's an oceanic and masculine scent.

My First Oud Fragrance

Weather: L58, H93. Temperature inside factory: 80F
Performance: 2hr moderate projection, another 2hr intimate projection. Skin scent till 6hr, 12hr? 13hr???
To explain the odd performance, Bade'e al Oud projects for 4 hr and then lasts as a skin scent to 6 hr. I thought the smell was gone now. As my body temperature began to rise I could smell it again, at the 7 hr mark; then again when I got off work at 8 hr. I got home and took a nap. I sniffed my elbow and I sh*t you not I could catch a faint trace of it.
This is my first oud fragrance; first saffron fragrance as well. I have a sample of Versace's Oud Noir but that smells way different than Oud for Glory (Oud Noir smells like the inside of a local Arabic convenience store here in California).
I am not sure what oud or saffron smell like. Given the main accords posted here on Fragrantica I expected a spicy patchouli fragrance somewhat (or ever so slightly) reminiscent of my Acqua di Gio Profumo but to me Bade'e al Oud smells....sweet? Like I said I'm not sure what to smell for when it comes to oud and saffron but to my unexperienced nose it smells sweet, oudy and musky. Not what I was expecting when I blind bought this off Mercari but I am not displeased. I cannot pinpoint the type of sweetness I'm smelling...OOOH I'VE GOT IT (just now smelling a fresh spray) HOOKAH. It smells musky and like a sweet hookah. Ahh, takes me back to the chill, sexy atmosphere of a hookah lounge. Reminds me when (I do not smoke anything at all by the way) I tried hookah last day of highschool afternoon with my friends. It was a new experience and they convinced me it wasn't addictive nor unhealthy (I don't know if that's actually true).
My only complaint is that I wish the atomizer had a little more OOMF to it but other than that the presentation (box/bottle) is S tier.

The box is nicely designed and is labeled 'So Musc.' I wish there was more padding on the inside but the bottle is fairly thick and decently designed.
I wore this to work today. I tend to overspray but this time I just did single sprays on my elbows and neck, and once on the chest. So Musc lasted 4 hours and as such I will only use it on dates.
This is a sweet and alluring fragrance. To my nose the most prominent notes are cardamom and bergamot followed by lavender+musk. The scent is 90% linear over four hours.
To me, this is the olfactory equivalent to the Vase/Two Faces illusion. I smell mostly La Nuit De L’Homme but sometimes I smell Le Mâle/Cuba Gold. Cardamom is the prominent note.
Overall this is a great cardamom-based date night fragrance for the price point. Contains the La Nuit De L'Homme DNA.

Dark, Oudy & Exotic

I wore this to work today. Black Afghan projected at arms length for about two hours(1/13/23: Projects for 5h). Scent lasted at least 7 hours on skin. I think some of the oil transferred the collar of my shirt because I kept catching whiffs of this past 8 hours.
Most seem to think this is a dupe of Black Afgano by Nasomatto. I think Black Afghan smells like a darker, less fresh version of Versace Oud Noir. I haven’t put my nose on Black Afgano but I do own a sample of Oud Noir.
The atomizer is pretty good for the 20USD it cost. My only complaint about Black Afghan is that it is quite linear but in my experience almost all clones are linear.

I was sampling fragrances at Ulta and when I smelled Billie Eilish 2.0 it was spot on compared to Black Afghan
