Sour makes funny, doesn't it?
This scent kept me, my nose, and my brain occupied all day.
Me, because I was full of anticipation for it, my nose, because the fragrance changed like a chameleon, and my brain, because I had various images in my head throughout the day.
At first, there was the young Carmen, preparing for the dance evening: red dress and lipstick (raspberry and sweet rose), black dance shoes with a new sole (am I smelling fresh cobbler's glue?) and a fan for fresh air (iris? musk? jasmine?).
Carmen danced all evening, had a lot of fun. After several hours, she didn’t look fresh anymore, well, somewhat understandable. The sweet, young Carmen has changed. She kicked the shoes into the corner, they were pinching anyway, the fan didn’t help, and she is sour like the raspberry that I can smell until the end.
Only her dress still looks beautiful after hours. The bottle is truly a showstopper.
What started sweet and fiery ends sour for me. The dominant raspberry I can smell until the end. After hours, Flamenco resembles "Framboise & Thé Vert Matcha / Raspberry & Matcha Green Tea | L'Occitane en Provence," only the powderiness is missing.
A dancer who has lost the joy of dancing...

Fig Verse
No, I'm not cowardly
I'll say it straight out
With this kind of fig
I'm in the clear
I'd rather stick a
Fresh one in my mouth
It smells much better
And it's healthy too
But here in Germany
Neither fruit nor leaf grows
So take the scent
And smell yourself full
He will leave me
I'll say bye bye
Our time was just short
And it's already over now

A Feel-Good Fragrance
Liquid serotonin!
Pure endorphins!
The delicate lavender-vanilla scent evokes feelings of happiness faster than chocolate. That has to take a detour through the stomach first.
The nose is just closer to the brain ;-)
The typical Shalimar DNA is present, but "sweeter" and less oriental. Therefore, it might also be interesting for those who are not fans of Shalimar.

Cough Attack
And if they haven't died from a cough, then they are still alive today...
So or something similar could be the ending of my fragrance fairy tale number 5.
A bit too optimistically, I enveloped myself in the scent (but still only two sprays) and at first couldn't breathe and had to leave the room.
And then I waited. And waited.
The scent does get weaker, but the unpleasant, biting-chemical cloud only dissipates at the end, when I would already need to reapply.
What a pity, but it’s not my dream...

Cherry Brandy Liqueur or Maraschino Zadarski after all...
August 2021
We are sitting in our favorite café in Zadar / Croatia and enjoying (like almost every day) a cup of espresso and a glass of cherry brandy liqueur - a specialty of the region.
Sun above, the sea in front of our eyes, and the delicious cherry in hand…
October 2021
I have initially sought out two fragrances from BDK to try, and maybe more will follow.
Today it’s Rouge Smoking’s turn.
I spray twice and…
… suddenly I am back in Zadar with cherry brandy in hand.
This is insane! The scent smells just like the good drop tastes!
After testing it several times, I am a bit unsure: is it cherry brandy liqueur or is it Maraschino Zadarski (also a cherry spirit)?
Next summer, I absolutely have to find out. And the fragrance will definitely come along :)
One thing is for sure, I can smell the fragrance on me longer than I can taste the liqueur ;)
