resin&roses
(sorry for the title)
disclaimer: I have a weakness for rose scents with strong masculine notes, so the enthusiasm was to be expected.
crazy in love opens floral-fresh-synthetic with something medicinal in the background, I briefly felt like I was in a doctor's office (just a little bit).
the freshness fades quickly and is replaced by a very pleasant resin that dominates together with the rose. simple but so beautiful. you can enjoy this for a long, long time, and the sillage is solid. among the 3-4 Montale scents I have tried so far, this one ranks second best for me :D
I definitely wouldn't wear this in the office, it can quickly become overwhelming, simply because it is such a strong, confident bomb and not a crowd pleaser. in my opinion, it's made for going out on cool nights, and it smells exactly like Zendaya looks in a suit (millennial here).
whenever you wear it, it's worth having a coffee with it; I had freshly brewed coffee earlier and the scent in my nose and thought "wow"!
I’m already looking forward to waking up one Saturday morning slightly dazed from partying and smelling the scent from the night before; until then, I'll definitely spray it on while having coffee ✨

synthetic late spring
You have to give Zara some credit; with a bit of patience, you can find some treasures among their offerings. I'll keep it brief:
Mochi Atelier opens with a distinctly prominent (synthetic) pear that strongly reminds me of Haribo juice gold bears (pear, of course, coincidentally my favorite flavor). Once that note fades, not much happens; what remains is a very close-to-the-skin but persistent dumpling-rice-water residue that is surprisingly pleasant and no longer sweet at all. Applied 6 hours ago and still noticeable if you hold your nose to the spot.
Not something I would wear in an office with pumps; I see it more with a light summer dress, which is still a bit too cold for, bright sneakers, and a mate. Inoffensive, but not elegant, clearly youthful, not a crowd pleaser. I like it a lot, but it's very subjective. 16€/100 ml, I believe? Worth a try.

high expectations exceeded
sometimes you read that Jo's Rhubarb only smells like cannabis. herbal-green, yes, and juicy, no trace of sweetness or flowers. not exactly a joint in the park -- but park. tends to be masculine, yet unisex and very appealing. in the drydown, it has something of aftershave, and I mean that as positively as possible. I can imagine it layered with something synthetically diffuse-sweet, maybe Gucci Guilty EdT or Ariana's Ari? on the hottest days of the year, Jo's Rhubarb is probably a little blessing, I’m already looking forward to experiencing that.
I was surprised by the longevity, applied at 8 PM and still noticeable at 2 PM, and that for €26/100ml. throughout the day, you get a whiff every now and then, without it being constantly present. again - very pleasant. and, even if it's just coincidence, because the collection is uniform -- the purity of the bottle fits the overall impression. in short: it is the Botanica in Florabotanica.
ok Zara, first Rich/Warm/Addictive, then Jo's Rhubarb, I am convinced and will continue to explore. a very clear recommendation from me, even if just to round off syrupy perfumes for neither-too-warm-nor-too-cold days.

love at first scent
Absolutely thrilled with this one.
I find the tobacco hardly noticeable, maybe shisha tobacco. Overall, the R/W/A radiates a bit of coconut liqueur, like Batida but less syrupy. It also smells a bit like a tea shop, including the unblended jumble, but I find that particularly charming.
It also has quite a strong scent, definitely not for hot days. Is this really supposed to be a pure men's fragrance?
Conclusion:
Rich: 9/10
Warm: 7/10
Addictive: 10/10
Bonus: the spray head is really high quality and can be pressed very smoothly. And for €13/100ml? Go and buy it.

If only it would last longer :(
First of all - a magnificent scent blend, just the right amount of fruity sweetness, a bitter note in the background (from the very beginning!), making it suitable for the over-25 age group, and still a very rounded overall impression without coming off as cheap. Really pleasant and diverse, I’m thrilled.
But - is it just me or does the scent disappear without a trace after 2-3 hours? It’s affordable enough to reapply constantly, but that’s not ideal. Such a shame!
