This is Rochas Lui
Funny, two months ago I sold my Rochas Lui Rest because I didn't use it that often and it still had 80% left, and now almost the same scent comes out again but disguised as Iceberg Man. That's what happens when you find the price so attractive and then take a quick look here and order online. But I really didn't expect this with Rochas Lui. Unfortunately, it is also not clear who the perfumer was. But it doesn't matter. For everyone who didn't have the chance to try Lui.
There are certainly plenty of other perfumes that go in this direction, like Potion by Dsquared. A classic spicy-citrus and somewhat whiskey-like scent. Slightly soapy and less sweet than Lui. The longevity seems to be quite okay, but I find the projection not so great so far. For in-between, during the day, now that it's getting cold again, a bit of Lui feeling. YES.

Spicy Bvlgari Wood Neroli
100 ml consumed relatively quickly. Previously, I had Lalique Hommage as my daily scent and actually wanted to return to Terre d'Hermes Edt, but then Icon came my way. The similarity to TdH was given, but there was more. A lightness or elegance that I miss in Terre. Rochas Lui was a candidate that I liked for this reason. But as an everyday scent, especially since it's hardly available anymore, it was unsuitable. That's why I now have Icon. Once again, I must say, as I was about to switch back to Terre and tried it again a few days ago to remind myself. Good that I did that. Unfortunately, little of my former passion remains. Terre is now too spicy and intrusive for me. The decision for another bottle of Icon was made quickly. In the meantime, prices have also dropped.
Citrus-fresh-sparkling, spicy (more comparable to Declaration Cartier), light but intense enough and suitable for many occasions without following the fruit/chocolate trend, I find Icon to be a kind of new classic. Whether over 30 or over 40, everyone has to decide for themselves.
By the way, the Icon in the golden bottle "Absolute" is unfortunately not comparable at all. Definitely no evolution, and I also find no comparison in terms of quality. Icon Absolute has nothing in common with TdH and Declaration. However, I have noticed that Absolute has appealed to some ladies. Significantly more intense and noticeable. I would probably only buy it for the golden bottle so that it forms a team with the silver one. Then let's see how the new Elite version smells.
Update 21.10.2016
In the meantime, quite a bit has happened here. Thanks for the approval and positive reviews. I didn't expect that and haven't checked in here for a while. Even though I'm glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this up and down rating, I am, of course, still disappointed about its continued existence and will therefore continue not to write any more comments.
Update 06.02.2017 (downgrade in the ratings)
Yes, Icon is a good scent, I like it. But the problem for me is that it fades after a short time; others can certainly still smell it, but in direct comparison to my other favorite (which is also not a power scent), Lalique Hommage, it does too little for me (after a certain time, I really feel reminded of Thierry Mugler Cologne). I need a bit more aura to wear it longer and consistently. Over 1 year is enough for now. Moving on with Lalique Hommage + its flanker Voyageur. Terre won't be back so quickly, as I simply miss the scent from the past. What happened to Terre?
Update 16.12.18 rating adjusted. Increased!
I'm glad that Icon exists. Really. Currently definitely my number 1. Probably this one scent is enough for me. Slowly, I need new bottles again. The prices are also great. Nice that it polarizes and prices continue to fall :) Thank you
Update 28.01.2020 replaced with Dunhill Century, which I currently like better.
But I will come back to it at some point. I will have to decide between Icon and Bvlgari Wood Neroli. Both very similar. Icon is spicier.

Papa, where are you?
A spontaneous blind buy for a low price from the web. 2x100 ml, well if I'm going to do it, I might as well go all out. Maybe it really is as interesting as reported here. Then one bottle would go straight into the car. But no such luck. The disillusionment came relatively early. Despite the pleasant scent, I can't really recommend Night Time for perfume lovers. However, I immediately learned to appreciate it as a room fragrance. After that, I am currently on the lookout for more. This room fragrance came from the packaging. After all, it had quite an impact. However, spraying it afterwards on the empty box did not provide any further enhancement. It could have been a hit. Of course, also for the car. No, it hasn't come to that. Almost 14 days have passed now, and Night Time landed yesterday with my 65-year-old dad, who likes sweet scents like Joop Homme and especially grapefruit. After the first spray, he hasn't complained and hasn't returned it to me. However, the second bottle was already sent back to the retailer. That was a bit too much. But with the Lalique fragrances, that worked excellently. What a shame. So how does it smell besides bitter lemon and rhubarb? I find it actually only smells like that. I haven't really noticed anything more. Very soft, maybe in the background, but hey, we are talking about Azzaro and not... well, okay. I actually wanted to title this Azzaro Elixir Light, but I’m doing it here so that the next blind buyer knows what to expect. It doesn't have the wannabe leather note of Elixir, but the concept and structure are too similar for me. Although I think Elixir was significantly stronger and had more sillage. If someone finds Elixir too strong and likes the aforementioned fruits, they could really give this a try. Maybe a tip regarding longevity. Whenever I leaned forward at the sink, that pleasant light fruity scent suddenly came back. Did it come from the proximity to my chest or just because my forearms came into contact with water while washing? No, I can't keep going to the sink to smell Night Time or reapply it every time. It doesn't seem to disappear; after multiple sprays, it left an unpleasant heavy impression. I'm curious to see what Dad will say about it. It does suit him. After almost a year of consistently wearing Lalique, especially Hommage, this change wasn't really for me. I liked Dunhill Icon much better. But I'll get to that later at some point.

Sour Honey in the Smoking Compartment | Update 2020
Essence by Cerruti has been replaced. It was too creamy and powdery for me. In terms of quality, Hommage is significantly better. I could own both, but as of 2020, I no longer have either. Hommage stands out much more. Fresh and sour (zesty), it has some similarity to Cartier Declaration Essence.
The story that the fragrance tells is interesting. A journey on the Orient Express. Does the scent remind me of the express? At least of a train journey to the Orient? Yes, why not. A slightly spicy oriental scent makes sense.
I appreciate this blend in Hommage of sour (violet), spicy/smoky, and "fresh" (rather honey-sweet). Oud is beautifully subtle in the background compared to Fahrenheit Absolute, which is why I didn't purchase that one.
Hommage is not a very masculine scent, but it is classically done. Longevity is good. Sillage is less so.
The bottle is really classy.
[UPDATE 01.06.2015] After nearly daily use (2x100 ml are almost empty), I find it to be more classic than indicated in this comment. The blend is truly something special, and I enjoy wearing it very much. I've received some positive comments as well. It comes across as fresh and serious.
[UPDATE 28.01.2020] The last drops are still being used up. That’s enough for us now due to the lack of sillage and fragrance development (too linear). Nevertheless, I still find Hommage good and recommendable for those with a more classic inclination.

Fine Fabric
Tried it when it came out in 2009. Back then, I liked the subtle scent as well as the longevity and also the concept, the idea with the Cerruti fabric/pattern (stripes on the bottle and cap). I felt addressed as a wool lover. In direct comparison with my then top fragrance Terre d'Hermès, there were significant differences. Somehow fine against coarse. Essence holds back but smells pleasantly citrusy sensual fresh from the first moment. The comparison with l'instant edt comes to mind, but Essence reveals less of itself. You have to sniff it out. And I have been doing that for over 3 months since my first purchase. Essence has become my daytime/office scent. I feel very comfortable with it. Now I have ordered 2 new 50 ml bottles. I wouldn't get Cerruti 1881 again. There are similarities, but Essence is simply much finer, especially in a suit or blazer. Wearable all year round.
