I now fully understand why this fragrance is so "hyped" online.
It's just beautifully sweet and cinnamony and smells like a warm, cozy hug in a dark, dreary winter.
The first spritz is pure cinnamon, which I absolutely love. That WOW cinnamon feeling lasts about 5 minutes.
On the dry-down, however, the scent softens and is reminiscent of chocolate-covered dates and freshly baked apple pie in the best possible way.

Perfect for both men and women with a weakness for super sweet, dessert-like and strong fragrances.

The fragrance lasts a long time and has an incredible sillage. 1-2 sprays are enough to spread the fragrance throughout the room. More should not be applied, otherwise there is a risk of oversaturation and headaches, both for yourself and for people in the immediate vicinity.

Normally, I'm always slightly skeptical about new releases, especially with A&F, who have already downgraded the quality of their fragrances in the past.
Nevertheless, I was still excited about the fragrance and I have to say: I was pleasantly surprised!

The fragrance itself begins with a citrusy top note and then unfolds into a complex mix of lavender and woody aromas, which I will now describe as "barbershop" or "after shave" à la Gillette. This blend gives the fragrance a classic (but not dated!) quality that is perfect for everyday use, especially for the cooler months.

The only criticism would be that the citrusy opening starts off with a somewhat synthetic and slightly overly soapy scent, almost detergent. But this subsides over time.
I wouldn't recommend the fragrance to younger wearers (under 25) either, and definitely not as a blind buy.

I find the longevity very good, I can still perceive the fragrance, which I apply in the morning after showering, in the evening, even if only very slightly. Only the sillage is a little muted, but that's not particularly bad for the fragrance.

Overall, A&F Woods is a fragrance that impresses with its classic composition and will find many fans who appreciate its timeless elegance and who are looking for a mature fragrance that is suitable for everyday wear.

I don't know, but I hope to find out one day. It's not necessarily something I would associate with camping under the stars.

The scent actually reminds me more of an old leather motorcycle jacket dipped in syrup, with a bit of smoke and a hint of oud in the background.

The perfume at least delivers what it promises: oud and leather.
The oud note is faint and doesn't seem very natural - but still easier to wear.
It would be more interesting if it had a slightly floral note to give it more naturalness.
Instead, this fragrance reminds me of a person who would like to wear a cool leather jacket, but doesn't dare because she lives in a Barbie world and doesn't want to offend anyone.
Hmm...overall I'd say the scent is pleasant, okay at best, but quite difficult for the prices Margiela charges these days. I think there are better alternatives.

In my opinion, the fragrance is rather masculine, remarkably long-lasting on my skin and very strong, and I can still smell it for hours despite a little spritz on my wrist.

Without a doubt one of my favorite fragrances that I have loved for many years. The fragrance strikes quite a good balance between woody notes, "blue and bright" citrus scents. Classic, sporty and fresh. Ideal fragrance for both casual daytime wear and elegant evening events.
However, the durability leaves a lot to be desired. A maximum of 3-4 hours and the fragrance has completely disappeared, especially when you consider that for the price you have a certain expectation of durability.
Unfortunately, the plethora of alternatives are no better: in my opinion, Montblanc Legend has an even worse shelf life. Percival is a bit "hazy" in terms of scent. What a pity :/
