Craving for Melons
Amber Oud didn't sound attractive to me at all at first, which is why the tester with the perfume stayed untested in my travel package until the very end. How was I to know that it suddenly smells completely different than the name suggests?
When I smelled it, my mouth instantly watered!!

I then searched on parfumo and found out that it’s supposed to be a dupe....
I have no idea how "Erba Pura | XerJoff" or anything else smells, but I found this scent simply amazing at first sniff, so much so that I wore it continuously for the last 3 days.

It reminds me of a freshly prepared fruit cocktail or fruit juice made from the freshest and tastiest fruits, with the melon in the foreground. Longevity was great, I can't evaluate the sillage yet, but I have smelled much weaker fragrances. It will soon be added to my collection.

A great everyday scent with a fresh, harmonious fragrance composition
This fragrance doesn't cost much and is easily available. Yet it plays in a quite high league.
This scent was also one of my first fragrances, as I went on my scent search with only a €30 DM voucher and no prior knowledge. Of the three fragrances I chose back then, Mexx Black Eau de Parfum was the one I wore the most in the following months. It is wonderfully suitable for all situations.

Now to the smell: The pepper is like freshly ground from the mill, yet not piercing or sharp, as it is rounded off by aquatic notes on which the water lily floats. But that alone is not enough to describe this fragrance. The cedar wood is also missing, which mentally transports you directly into a spring forest full of coniferous trees. The sandalwood and amber make the scent exciting, but also slightly calming due to the sweetness. This results in a fresh and harmonious overall picture. In my opinion, the scent is very well represented on the back of the packaging (see above). Against a soft light blue (aquatic) background lie peppercorns, leaves, needles, and a cedar cone.

Overall, a great entry-level and everyday fragrance. Those who need more longevity and sillage can spray more or reapply, as it costs almost nothing. Clear recommendation to buy.

To address the previous review: I don't have any youthful memories associated with this scent, as it was only released in 2020 ;)

Something completely different
At first, I sprayed some Molecule into the cap. I smelled absolutely nothing. I was already disappointed and thought I couldn't smell the fragrance. On the skin, then came the surprise: After the strongly alcoholic opening, I actually smell something. Is this the legendary Molecule01 scent? Or is it the product of my skin with this chemical? Whatever it is, it smells woody - but different. It smells fresh - but different. Synthetic, for sure. My nose immediately recognizes that it is not an ordinary fragrance blend. Very interesting....

This scent has no progression; it smells the same all day. Every few minutes, you smell it again, then it disappears again. A constant companion in everyday life, during sports, when going out. Unobtrusive yet consistently present. Even showering won't completely rid you of it.

I tested it with perfumes that have weaker longevity and sillage, and I couldn't notice any enhancement of the H/S. Only the woody scent is added. I will continue to experiment.

I don't think I will wear this scent daily on its own. I find that other perfumes are better suited for that. However, every now and then, I do want to smell Molecule01 again, either on its own or as a layer with another perfume. It is an interesting scent that can fascinate with its uniqueness.

It was as if someone had just sliced a grapefruit right in front of my nose
I was on the lookout for a proper summer fragrance, as my collection so far consisted of only 1-2 scents that were unsuitable for 35°C+. Just a few days after the release, I was introduced to Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Love in the turquoise "D". And I was truly overwhelmed! It was as if someone had just sliced a grapefruit right in front of my nose and squeezed it. I could smell both the juice and the bitter zest, and maybe even the little leaf on the stem. It felt like I had smelled this fragrance before. Of course, when eating grapefruit! I could almost taste a bitter-sour grapefruit on my tongue; it made me really crave it.

Good fragrance or not. But do I really want to smell like this? I was skeptical and left the store without buying a bottle. Better to try it out in the souk first. Over the summer, I wore Italian Love on various occasions and formed my opinion. My nose was not at all saturated with this scent, which allowed me to perceive it almost continuously. For me personally, that was sometimes too intrusive. Others apparently did not feel the same; I received no complaints and even a compliment for the fragrance. A few times, I sprayed it on my pillow in the evening to fall asleep in a citrusy freshness. Simply heavenly! Longevity on clothing/pillow: 2-3 days. Towards the end, the grapefruit becomes increasingly harsher and herbaceous, with the green notes becoming more prominent, and a pleasantly bitter freshness replaces the zesty unripe grapefruit from the top note.

Conclusion: A great fragrance that I enjoy smelling, but I don't always want to wear it myself. One of the best interpretations of grapefruit with a wonderful scent progression.

P.S.: I don't know any other fragrances from the "light blue" line and therefore have no comparison, but I am also unbiased.

The Beginning of My Perfume Adventure
With a €30 Dm voucher, I set out some time ago to buy myself a perfume. Until then, I had only had Eau Sauvage Extreme, which I received as a gift for my 18th birthday. I always found it quite strong and way too intense, masculine, and herbal.

A friend gave me a few recommendations, including dupes from La Rive. At that time, I didn't even know what a dupe was. I paid only €6 for 100 mL of Scotish Man from La Rive. I had never smelled a scent that was sweet and spicy like this before. I only knew various deodorants and shower gel scents. Of the La Rive fragrances, I found this one the most pleasant, even though the top note consists almost entirely of alcohol (maybe that's how it's supposed to be? Still, be careful: Don't smell it directly after spraying, it burns in the nose!)

In the following days, I kept wearing Scotish Man. I applied several sprays to the same spot to improve longevity. At that price, you can easily do that. So I was wrapped in a soft, spicy vanilla scent almost all day. In the evening, I also liked being enveloped in the calming and cozy scent. When I applied the fragrance before going to bed, it was still distinctly recognizable the next morning. This scent piqued my curiosity; I browsed its reviews and comments on Parfumo and then, of course, found out what a dupe is.

My interest was sparked, and consequently, one of my next purchases was the big brother Le Male by JPG. This one lasts much longer in comparison, smells more balanced, has a proper scent progression, and you can even smell it directly after spraying to perceive the mint and bergamot. Le Male is fresher, more playful, and younger, while Scotish Man comes across as calmer and sweeter.

All in all, a perfect beginner fragrance; for €6, you can smell pleasant for a whole year.
