Time Travel Back to My Youth

First of all, while the EDP is similar to the EDT, I personally find it not quite as successful. Even when it comes to pure concentration, I find the EDT more convincing. But enough about that. MEXX Black is still an absolute favorite of mine. I loved wearing it during my youth and still find it incredibly great today. Its spiciness combined with aquatic-fresh citrus notes is simply fantastic! None of the fragrance nuances wants to steal the spotlight or push forward. Instead, it is an excellent composition of cheeky spiciness, citrus lightness, warm cedarwood, and grounding sandalwood. That’s exactly what I love about this scent and I will always keep it in my heart. Therefore, both the EDP and the EDT belong in my collection and are regularly used!

A great everyday scent with a fresh, harmonious fragrance composition

This fragrance doesn't cost much and is easily available. Yet it plays in a quite high league.
This scent was also one of my first fragrances, as I went on my scent search with only a €30 DM voucher and no prior knowledge. Of the three fragrances I chose back then, Mexx Black Eau de Parfum was the one I wore the most in the following months. It is wonderfully suitable for all situations.

Now to the smell: The pepper is like freshly ground from the mill, yet not piercing or sharp, as it is rounded off by aquatic notes on which the water lily floats. But that alone is not enough to describe this fragrance. The cedar wood is also missing, which mentally transports you directly into a spring forest full of coniferous trees. The sandalwood and amber make the scent exciting, but also slightly calming due to the sweetness. This results in a fresh and harmonious overall picture. In my opinion, the scent is very well represented on the back of the packaging (see above). Against a soft light blue (aquatic) background lie peppercorns, leaves, needles, and a cedar cone.

Overall, a great entry-level and everyday fragrance. Those who need more longevity and sillage can spray more or reapply, as it costs almost nothing. Clear recommendation to buy.

To address the previous review: I don't have any youthful memories associated with this scent, as it was only released in 2020 ;)

The Scent of My Youth

My first perfume that I owned - back then it was still the EdT version.

For me, the scent of my youth.
I associate many memories with this fragrance - I wore it daily for years.
I mainly smell fresh citrus/woody/aquatic notes with a lovely sweetness in the background.
For me, NO shower gel vibes!
In the drydown, the scent becomes sweeter and slightly powdery.

It doesn't offend anyone, and even women really like this fragrance.

Sillage and longevity are rather mediocre here, but for the price of 12.95/50ml, a few more sprays are definitely welcome. Still, the longevity is only about 4 hours. Price/performance is very good here!

A fragrance that is better than its reputation (drugstore perfume) and is truly a good daily wear for the price.

And with memories of the scent, it smells 10 times better :)

Smells exactly like Mexx Black Edt, and in my opinion, the longevity is not much better, if at all. It's a shame really, it's not a bad scent overall.
