Summery Lightness with Minor Flaws
Only a few fragrances manage to strike a balance between fresh and unobtrusive on particularly hot days. Citrusy notes are just as essential as white pepper or light woods, which ideally hold back while still remaining present. Lalique White is no exception to this combination. The initially overwhelming citrus note is quickly followed by an unmistakably pleasant and light freshness, further underscored by white pepper, cedar, and musk as the scent develops. I associate this fragrance with the urban flair of midsummer. On one hand, it embodies pure luxury, which is already expressed through the modernly designed bottle; on the other hand, it also captures the lightness and simplicity of hot summer days with an interesting dynamic.
However, the fragrance shows weaknesses and restraint in terms of longevity. Unlike its counterpart Encre Noire, Lalique White unfortunately only performs in the midfield. The sillage, like with some summer fragrances, is only strongly pronounced at the beginning and dependent on the outside temperature, which is why I can only recommend it on particularly hot days. Whether it can last through a day at the office otherwise, I doubt. On cooler days, it remains as a skin scent after just a few hours - a pity. For me, it is merely the summer fragrance for temperatures above 30 degrees with minor flaws.

The Fourth Dimension
The Nasomatto palette that I discovered by chance contains, alongside the very complex BA, the most powerful of all fragrances: Duro. A leathery, bitter oud wood blend, united into a dark yet stylish opus that is unmatched in masculine notes. It starts off dark and primarily reminds one of "YSL’s M7 Oud Absolu," then spices and resin begin to take over, imparting a complex warmth. Duro is so opulent that it seems to constantly radiate this warmth. No compromises. Hard-hitting. Stylish.
The longevity and sillage are explosive and almost exaggerated. Even when the warm woods have slowly receded after 12 hours, it remains strongly present.
For me, Duro is and remains a timeless and majestic fragrance, which, like BA, resembles a work of art. The fourth dimension. Unexplored and extreme - in every respect.
