Give rubber - but with coconut water, please
First of all: Zanzibar and I will not become friends.
The first time I sprayed it, it left a rubbery note on my wrist, which is very annoying. Whether it's salt or some dead sea creatures, I don't know.
Unfortunately, the final fragrance comes a little too late for me, much too late. It takes quite a long time and I don't want to smell like "weird sea notes" by then. - Clearly, there are better summer fragrances - this one won't work for me.
- Well, it's a matter of taste

Just "no comparison" to the original - much more mature!
The Shaghaf Oud Elixir is a new, independent Shaghaf Oud and has only rudimentarily to do with the original. unfortunately they are drooling again that they are bringing out a flanker that they call Elixir.
I would say it could have been called something completely different; Intense or whatever. But it wouldn't have done the fragrance justice. This is more of an oudy, darker fragrance that starts off completely differently in the opening. The saffron is more prominent and while the original had more praline, rose and sweetness, here we have a more oud-heavy fragrance that suddenly explodes after about 10 to 20 seconds. And the oud remains dominant. I find the oud used here better than in the original.
The Elixir is more of an amber oud fragrance. I am also of the opinion that the Elixir is more for experienced oud noses, newcomers to oud may be disappointed.
Longevity is around 8 to 9 hours and is for me the more "grown-up version" of the Shaghaf Oud!
Will definitely be a hit - like its predecessor! Absolutely recommendable! I bought the Elixir on the Swiss Arabian EU site and it was delivered to me within two days!
