Vanilla leather
I only smell leathery vanilla with an overdose of saffron and tonka bean. I don't smell any incense or pineapple at all, as indicated in most of the reviews here. I even wonder if I have the right decan.
For me, it's a very warm, opulent, round, very leathery fragrance, a roasted vanilla that leans towards dry wood, not sweet ( a bit ). It's really not my style, but when the temperatures drop outside, it really comes into its own.
It's not a perfume for shy people because it projects quite a bit in the first few hours, a heady leather scent. Don't wear it in a meeting because it will only smell of you, and in the morning at 8 a.m., I'm not sure I want to smell coppery saffron.
So a rather original perfume, it seems that it resembles babycat, which I have never smelled yet, in the end will I wear it, no, as I said it is not my style, but I can easily see a woman wearing it with confidence or a man with a leather jacket.

Comforting and boozy
Comforting and boozy, vanilla tobacco! A divine scent in a bottle.
Dark woody, but surprisingly not too heavy, nor synthetic as a side effect.
It's still a classic men's fragrance, not fougère, but a little old school. I really like its elegance. Let it macerate for 6 months and it becomes even more woody, boozy, almost honeyed.
A distant cousin of jazz club but more elegant, more uplifting. There's a hint of lemon at the opening, and it's a little less smoky and feels much cleaner and more ambery.

sandalwood problem
I hate this perfume!
It was a blind buy, and I regret every penny, even though it was really cheap.
I have a real problem with sandalwood. Some sandalwoods really make me nauseous. I can't stand the smell for more than 5 minutes, and I have to wash my arm.
This synthetic, creamy, sweet sandalwood—no, it's really hell to smell for me.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
Edit : after a year in my closet, the awfull smell is almost gone, i'm really surprise, the perfume is more round, more creamy. I still don't like this perfume but it went beter, still a cheap smell anyway.
