Oud for Greatness is one of the most simple yet realistic fragrance that represents Agrawood. The actual wood, not the now variety versions of extractions, known as Oud. I grew up with tons of Agrawood related products around, it was a certain smell that is pleasant and yet mysterious, but overall it is made from wood, it should have a woody base. I still have serval pieces of Agrawood bracelets and prayer beads. So the Agrawood smell/scent is quite familiar.
Back to Oud for Greatness, I only smell the cap at the mall before I decided to get a bottle. I thought it smells simple and nice, that’s it. But when I tested my own bottle on my own skin, that’s the magic. From the opening to the dry down, it has that familiar Agrawood scent through and through. To me, that’s a good thing. It’s a wood base, a touch of sweet and spices, dry down is a little creamy but still very woody-masculine. It lasts overnight and the second morning, it smells more like the wood form of Agrawood. I like it.

I didn’t like a good number of the Oud fragrances on the market because they don’t feel relevant enough, as far as my liking to Agrawood. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone that like the exotic wood mixture scents, masculine, mysterious but not overly complicated.
I prefer to layer Oud for Greatness with Initio’s other fragrances to make it more interesting. But on its own, it really represents Agrawood in a simple and realistic way. The performance is very good, easy on the trigger.

This a wild one. I never thought I would be interested in this turquoise fuzzy bottle, but I did fell for its contain.
The opening is like mix fruit salad in a spring summer garden, filled with all kinds of fruity and floral smells. It’s almost too many awesome scents mixed together, super loud, attention grabbing. It can be too much for some people. The dry down is very nice, almost the opposite of the opening, it became woody, spicy, sweet, elegant and mature, classy in its way. And that LASTS FOREVER. This is why I gave this bottle a all 10 rating. It’s full of surprises, to me, it’s a nice experience. Definitely a masterpiece from Xerjoff.
As I mentioned, this bottle is not for everyone. It really take certain personalities to handle. Please try a sample or at least wear it for few hours, the opening and the dry down are totally different.

This is my first Nishane, very happy with the sweet choice. The beautiful sweet creamy vanilla is outstanding and long lasting. With a hint of orange in the background, my partner said it’s like an melted orange creamsicle. I love to wear it all year round. Very unisex, very warm, holiday vibe type.
The quality and performance of Nishane is trustworthy.

My first bottle that start the fragrance journey. Just a random impose buy at Macy’s. I like it, love it in a way but not crazy about it like I did to many niche collections. It’s still one of my favorite designer fragrance, no brainer grab for business trip or something like it. Three sprays and it lasts almost all day.
Citrusy and fresh to begin with, light creamier woody dry down, slightly salty note on my skin at the end. Very easygoing, very safe for indoor activities. Highly recommend for everyone that wants a high quality safe all-year around scent.

Oajan is special in its own way. It’s not as popular as Layton for mass appealing effect. But it’s an impression that keep me coming back for. The opening is strong, oriental type, that may turn down some people. Many may found Carlisle’s opening is more interesting. But the tone down is more attractive to me, it’s like some type of incense, the type that I’m familiar with. Very warm, mysterious and intriguing in a way. Overall I love everything about this fragrance, highly recommended for the people that can much its class. Great for colder weather.
