Reconstitution of three historical perfumes.
Read in the French magazine "Point de vue": …. “Reconstitution of three ancient fragrances including LE DIEU BLEU, inspired by kyphi, the mythical incense that perfumer priests burned in Egypt nearly 4,000 years ago.
To obtain ingredients similar to those of the time, the artisan revisited ancient maceration techniques and replaced certain elements with recreated aromas for the occasion: the balm of Gilead, green and herbaceous, calamus with scents of herbs, spices, and wood, the heady myrrh or the honeyed broom give this essence solar and sacred notes…”
Additionally, reconstitution of ARTABAN, with spicy and vanilla accents, and LES NUITS, a rosy composition recreated from the last drops of the perfume by George Sand.
These three unique fragrances, I read, are available in a coffret, accompanied by a book that tells the story of these three scents at Astierdevillatte.com.
How wonderful it sounds and how I would love to be convinced of their uniqueness while testing…

I have 2 loves....
.... Lavender and chypre. What a lovely possible combination, in Lavande et Chypre by Prestige de Menton these two directions are united. It could have turned out to be something fine.... After testing for a few days, unfortunately not the hoped-for effect. At the first spray: Ha! Later nooo! Too musty, old-fashioned, synthetic. In the dry air and stuffy atmosphere of the Old Theater, the red velvet chairs exude the scent of the last century... What a pity!
Those who like it "purely lavender," nice and clear and fresh, can opt for Lavande Naturelle, they will not be disappointed. Frequent re-spraying is mandatory...

Chronobiological?
My husband: lark, early riser, summer fan, outdoorsy type, smells in Nuit étoilée EdT the atmosphere of a "pine grove" in midsummer... I: owl, night person, morning grouch, autumn and winter woman, on the other hand, the crystalline crisp freshness and cold of a snowy and starry frost night.... Two people, 2 types, 2 associations.... Why? Maybe it's chronobiologically conditioned....... But clearly suitable for all types.

The "Market"....
How could Molinard give up this wonderful Chypre fragrance? "The market dictates" (L'offre et la demande) was the response I received at Molinard in Paris.... Instead, "the market" seems to prefer and claim this sweet, generic Chypre Charnel.... What a pity, such a rounded classic Chypre that still has the quality of the "old".... today hard to find except at Guerlain or Roja... but in a different price league... and that's a good thing. Quality should be expensive....

No, nothing at all.....
... no, I risk nothing.... with this "Risqué" one can feel completely safe, risks absolutely nothing, relatively harmless and for a Roja, or Chypre, quite disappointing.... Too bad!
