Best tropical-inspired perfume ever.
I thought VIW was the epitome of what a vacation in a tropical island smelled like, and it is, but Kynam Island goes far beyond. The amalgamation of creamy coconut, frangipani, sandalwood and ylang, along with luxurious jasmine and myrrh and everyting else is simply a piece of art. Feels natural, because all the ingredients are natural.

Creamy, sweet, balanced... can't stop sniffing my hand.

It's not a fresh Summer scent, but something more like a luxurious sunscreen, the best you've ever smelled.

Masterpiece.

I've always been searching for the ultimate rose, and so far I've gotten quite close, but never arrived there.

Rosenthal is, by far, one of the most original rose centered scents I've tried. It kicks off with a green, lush garden rose, slightly sweet (I'd tone it down one or two degrees) and boozy. Then, shorty after, the incense comes through and, combined with the other elements, turns it into a soft Russian leather, smoothened by sandalwood.

During the drydown, the chocolatey patchouli shows up, making it slightly gourmand.

What a trip

Rosewater
Light, airy, lemony and clean/slightly powdery rose composition, perfect for those who wonder how the precious Taif roses differ from other varieties.

The rest of the ingredients are placed perfectly to enhance its nuances.

Nuclear performance, so spray with care specially on hot days.

This sentence is to reach 300 charters cause it seems that I cannot post it

Übermensch
Classic fougère with the sublimation and modern touch Roja always gives to his "homages".

Smells like a classic man scent, however not cloying or overpowering. Very refined, but the blast of cumin and tarragon gives it a sweaty, macho nuance that makes it stand out from the rest of the perfumes of this sort.

Manly as fuck.

To be an oligarch
One things we gotta give Mr. Roja credit for is his masterful blending and re-interpretations of mainstream classics. This is supposed to be a sublimation of TDH, and I'd say "I see what you mean, but nope". Don't get me wrong, TDH is a fantastic perfume, but this one is a whole new level: layer after layer of polished complexity.

Another thing Roja does, and does very well, is to "hide" notes. His blending of too many notes prevent you from isolating them, and evokes sensations. The more easily detectable are the citruses, a very high quality trio of lemon, bergamot and lime.

The drydown is a soft amalgamation, sweetness from anise and apple, creaminess from coconut, and then all the rest of diverse notes that, on paper, wouldn't work, but here they do, creating a masterful and inspiring result.

No one's gonna be blown away by how different or unique this scent is, but it's an absolute delight. What a Russian oligarch would wear during his Summer in Nice, linen beige suit and all.

If lasted longer...
