Fruity floral with oud
Greedy Essence by Weil is a fruity floral perfume where a candied juicy rose is the protagonist over a sweet earthy patchouli oud tonka base. It can be a way to approach oud notes for those who love fruity floral fragrances and are not ready for drier or sweeter takes on oud. This fragrance indeed manages to stay bright despite its woody and earthy base. Solid "Day Fragrance"
Here I have a scent in front of me that smells very intensely of roses, with some ripe fruits in the "baggage" and is certainly pleasing. The only downside: personally, it's too sweet for me. After all, it doesn't burst with cotton candy or other very sweet ingredients. It seems more like a kind of "fruit-sugar."
There is no shortage of qualitatively high-quality ingredients here.
What I also notice: Greedy Essence doesn't quite know whether it wants to be "vintage" or "modern." On one hand, it has a certain charm that is characteristic of older generations of fragrances; on the other hand, it has elements like something Oud-like, combined with other woods that you don't find in "classic" creations in this way. This is absolutely not a "major flaw," but it may still slightly confuse some "noses." Classic fragrance lovers might find it too "modern," while fans of the "trendy" might find it a bit too "classic."
What I quite like in the further development of the scent is the "darkening" of an otherwise quite "bright" fragrance. This is likely related to the combination of various woods with patchouli and "dark" vanilla. My verdict and now "final word": A solid sweeter "day fragrance" for many occasions, seasons, and age groups.

Rather "Sweety Essence"
“Greedy Essence” What a name! I really like it, and I would enjoy answering the question of what fragrance I’m wearing today with “Greedy Essence.” It sounds somehow mysterious.
Right after spraying this greedy essence, I notice the rose, combined with fruity notes. I can smell apple and maybe a bit of peach. But after a short time, the fragrance becomes...sweet. Really sweet. The rose is still present, and you can tell that this is the absolute, as the rose scent is very rich. However, it unfortunately gets almost lost under the sweetness. Upon closer sniffing, I detect an interesting note that lies behind all that sweetness and doesn’t quite fit. Almost slightly metallic. This could possibly come from the rose, but it might also be due to the rose-patchouli combination. As mentioned, I only perceive this when I bring my nose directly to my hand. In the sillage, it just smells sweet to me. Even though this metallic note doesn’t quite fit into the fruity-sweet rose ensemble, it still doesn’t come across as disharmonious. This sweetness remains thoroughly intact until the base, even though the fragrance loses some intensity. In the base, the scent is still underpinned by slightly woody notes, but I can’t really pick out any oud.
The longevity is quite okay, I would say around 6-8 hours. For a more accurate statement, I would need to test it again. Nevertheless, this fragrance leaves me puzzled. What were they trying to achieve here? “Let’s do something modern! Sweet is so trendy right now! And oud definitely has to be included. Nowadays, everyone who considers themselves someone has an oud fragrance!” Even though the fragrance notes sound promising, the scent takes on a very generic quality due to this artificial sweetness and could pass as a better celebrity fragrance. Such a shame.

My flop of the week. Squeaky sweet tonka bean with vanilla. Even the mandarin is sugared. Screaming like the bottle color.

The bath foam of my childhood mixed with the patchouli of my teenage years: pure nostalgia and a feeling of home! What was the name of that bath additive?

You accompany me to work, charming me and others who are completely delighted because you are a cheerful, sweet little fruit.

Winter-proof Fruitchouli. Not too sweet. Light and suitable for everyday wear. Just right. Even freezing temperatures (if they should occur) leave me cold.

Wow, completely different, but related to Suki Essence!
Red Indian incense sticks. Like all Weils, nothing on the first try, then it just gets better.

Fruity roses, a bit too sweet for me. Solid daytime scent with good longevity and pleasant sillage. Later becomes woody and dark vanilla. GOOD!

Overbearing scent, greedy! Way too sweet synthetic fruits enhanced with osmanthus. Flowers absent. Oud? Questionable, makes the patchouli feel threatening, like you've overindulged.

Much sweeter and heavier than the pyramid led me to believe! More for cold days when going out/evenings.

Sweet, synthetic, linear, plastic fruit. Like a pink polyester sweater that got stuck with fabric softener. It sparks when you take it off. Well.
