Let’s not beat around the bush…
…this is practically a Guerlain Heritage clone. I despise clones. I don’t care if a clone is 99% of the original at 1/100th the cost. I will buy the original. It’s a matter of respect. But here’s where I’m conflicted. Most clones are shadows of their original. Roja is different. He takes a beautiful thing and somehow makes it….more.

If Heritage was the perfect mature man’s amber fougere of the 90’s, Danger is the updated, luxurious version for the 2020’s.

Rather than a proper review, I’ll leave this comparative image I haven’t been able to get out of my head for the last couple years:

Heritage: a warm dimly lit study, leather bound books most of which have a layer of dust about them adorn the walls, dark cherry wood furniture. An older gent clear of mind and humbly intelligent sits in a plush leather chair doning a full beard and wearing a comfortable cardigan smoking a pipe and drinking single malt scotch, reading an actual physical book (they still exist, fwiw).

Danger: that older gent’s son, his father through and through, a man of similar but more modern tastes, finely groomed with short stubble as you may see in fashion magazines, luxury designer striped suit, vaping rather than smoking, living in an über-clean modern black&white apartment, sitting on (not in) a tightly molded leather chair, also sipping a lovely aged scotch as his father would do, reading on his Kindle, no physical book in sight (as that would depart from the clean minimalist aesthetic).

I respect Heritage for being the original. I love Danger for being the modern luxurious interpretation.

Hot boring date
Well, at least it was packaged beautifully.

So what does Danger Pour Homme actually smell like? Smells like bubblegum with spicy cumin up top, and a soft woody/ambergris late drydown. Yawn.

With the recent price hikes, it retails in the USA for ~$515 for a mere 50ml. That's a BMW payment for a Plymouth composition.

*Edit
I tried Guerlain Heritage for the first time today, after owning Roja Danger Pour Homme Parfum for a long time. To say that Danger has a resemblance to Guerlain Heritage doesn't do Heritage justice - Roja Danger is a blatant ripoff. Same stuff just Danger Pour Homme is Heritage on steroids. If this isn't olfactive plagiarism then I don't know what is.

Avoiding Danger
Avoiding danger is exactly what Mr. Red Dove does in this fragrance, as it could easily smell like any designer brand.

If you don't like interesting, elaborate, complex, novel or surprising scents, this is for you.

The opening is that of a typical masculine fragrance smell from the last 20 years.
For a serious and elegant man.
Maybe it gets a little more interesting as it evolves in the dry down, but the problem is that at that point you can barely smell it.

Those high ratings I see in silage and lasting must definitely be from when the perfume came out 12 years ago, because today its performance is very moderate, similar to any designer eau de parfum.

Timeless Masculinity, Refined
This is masculinity and elegance in a bottle. Smells very expensive. I love it.
The opening is fresh citrus, lavender, cumin.
Woods, ambergris, castoreum, florals, vanilla and spices lingers in the backround.
The scent constantly evolves, it becomes more floral, woody, creamy. Hard to describe it. It is a very complex fragrance.
This scent reminds me of the past, reminds me of my childhood and the fatherly figures.
This scent is classic. I don't think a man in his early 20s could pull this off.
I am in my lates 20s, to me this is a dress-up fragrance, I couldn't pull this off by wearing more casual clothes. The scent just screams class and elegance.

And yess… It does resemble
Guerlain’s Heritage, but Danger is more modern, I would say, even of better quality

After a beautiful opening and mid, the fragrance turns into a rather boring, generic barbershop scent.

Modern interpretation of classic fougeré / barbershop masculine fragrances. Crispy and clean, soapy. Overall well rounded, versatile juice.
