After years of pausing in the niche fragrance world, I was looking for the fragrances that you "must have tried", and according to all reviews, Baccarat 540 was definitely one of them. I read through everything and treated myself to 10 ml bottling. What can I say - now I need a tub of! But now to the fragrance.

The first time I applied it I was already blown away. I have to say, I love complex, indefinable scents, I love recognizing and classifying every single molecule, and then just following the images in my head. At the first "smelling" Baccarat reminded me of Dzing! by L'Artisan, shrill, screaming, a unique piece in all senses. And then something happened... This dentist's office note, which is a challenge for many, was gone on my skin after only a few minutes and a revelation of wildness, heat, self-confidence and a whole lot of eroticism opened up. The scent of an Italian summer, hot nights, kisses on the beach, Amarone until the doctor arrives, and sweets at every meal. Burnt sugar, cypresses, hot wind, sand on the skin, just apply and let yourself be carried away by your dreams.
The sweetness is definitely very present, but not obtrusive, not honeyed and also not a fruit basket. Sugar it is, almost burnt, and a good shot of cognac on top. Not for the faint hearted or for those who love light scents. You can't hide in the crowd with this scent. It is provocative, demanding and dominant.

I can imagine that in the summer I will realize all this in a completely different way, but now I am in love, no - in love! It just fits, and may this love last forever.

I got to know this fragrance about 7-8 years ago. A little sample that knocked me out. And then I left it there, the pregnancy and motherhood came in between, so there was a big break in the fragrances. What was there was occasionally used, that's it. Two months ago I ordered a sample package, including this fragrance, and everything came up again. Only one thing was different - I was different. It was probably the most mature scent decision ever, now I own the whole bottle and that will be THE scent for this autumn
I am not so good at describing the individual notes, so I now write my experiences. A very warm, touching fragrance. Feminine, but not too sweet or sticky. It envelops you like a noble voile, velvety and delicate. Slightly powdery and not flat on the skin, opens wonderfully, especially in autumnal temperatures. From my point of view not a summer scent, but rather something for the autumnal blues.
After a few hours a lot of warm wood remains, the green-fruity one has disappeared and you linger in a warm light cloud.
I can very well understand the comments with "not mine". It is not everyone's favourite, the fragrance has to fit and should be worn several times before you decide to use it. But when that happens, it becomes a long and faithful love. Like coming home
