The proof of the pudding is in the eating
As the word "curiosity" already suggests, there is a greed to discover something new. Normally this greed is at its greatest when, for example through hearsay or evaluations, one assumes that the new is something incredibly desirable.

With regard to the new Spicebomb Night Vision Eau de Parfum by Viktor & Rolf the situation is a little different. By a little is meant quite differently at this point. Why? Simply because many of the reviews and youtube reviews were moderate to very bad. So basically there should be no reason for curiosity. However, it is exactly this circumstance that arouses my curiosity to get to the bottom of the question whether I can correspond to the opinion of the general public or disprove it for me personally. So much in advance, I can only contradict the general public on this point.

The first thing to be discussed now is what is actually being criticized and above all why. The scent is often described as a very synthetic shower gel smell. There is also talk of a lack of depth. Especially the former I can confirm. Night Vision EdP is not a very natural composition, like for example the scents of Chanel. This conclusion can already be drawn on the basis of the contained scents. From my point of view, I cannot see any lack of depth, but it is also important to consider who Viktor & Rolf are as a target group. Compared to niche fragrances from Creed, Parfums de Marly or Amouage, Night Vision is shallower than the Wadden Sea. Definitely!
Compared to the more mass-market designer fragrances, Night Vision can definitely compete with great success. For me, as a relative newcomer to fragrance, who can't even claim to be judging the big names yet, Night Vision EdP seems like a very fresh and yet spicy fragrance, which also brings a certain unique nuance. My individual perception is also shown by the fact that Spicebomb Extreme doesn't appeal to me at all, despite its outstanding criticism. It shows once again that tastes are different. This is probably one of the reasons for the massive criticism. The direct comparison between Night Vision and Extreme is of course obvious, not only because of the same brand, but also because of the name Spicebomb and the eye-catching bottle design. Nevertheless, in my opinion, Night Vision should be seen as an independent line. After all, the addition of the EdP to the line only shows that it is also a line in its own right, with individual aspirations.

With regard to the performance of Night Vision EdP I can also report only positive things. It can't top the nuclear durability and sillage of Azzaro's Wanted by Night, but what fragrance can? I perceive the perfume for a good 7-8 hours on my skin, potentially even longer on clothes. Also the Sillage is fully satisfying without being completely obtrusive. The fragrance is best suited for cool days and evenings, whether casual or on a date.

I would like to conclude with the request to give Night Vision EdP a fair chance. Maybe many snoopers here are a little biased by the EdT or the brand itself, but if you approach the composition completely free you can only be surprised in a positive way. Of course I do not recommend to order the 90ml bottle directly! Instead you should, in my humble opinion, take the chance of a sample or a filling. Alternatively, you can of course also simply stop by the perfumery of your choice. I would be happy if I could convince one or the other perfume here.

I wish all perfume lovers a nice week :-)

No honour to the name
Normally I try not to be impressed by the marketing campaigns of perfume manufacturers. In the case of Glacial Essence, I only succeeded to a limited extent. Mountains and glaciers, plus the promise of a very icy fresh scent, were enough to make me want to test the new Bulgari. So quickly a test here ersoukt and from the (ski) ride ...

The top note absolutely keeps what the image film promises. A very cool freshness lies pleasantly on the skin. None of the fragrances exceeds the other, everything is very smoothly coordinated. Unfortunately, this feeling fades away after only a few minutes.

The heart and base notes are dominated by a rather penetrating sweetness that reminds me a lot of the Edt of Dolce & Gabbana K, which was/is absolutely not my cup of tea. A fragrance that tends towards summer shouldn't be that sweet in my opinion. At over 30 degrees, you probably just want to get the scent off your skin. Especially after the promising opening, the fragrance development is a bitter disappointment for me or rather a sweet disappointment. Although Glacial Essence is not a total flop, Bulgari hasn't launched a box office hit with this scent either. Definitely not suitable for a blind purchase. It's a pity when you consider that Alberto Morillas, an absolute master of his craft, is behind this creation.

The shelf life is sufficient, the sillage not necessarily. For an EdP both are below average

Great smell, but special
I have only recently come into possession of this perfume and would like to take a closer look at the fragrance as such here.

First of all I would like to say that the fragrance - DNA is in my opinion very successful. Unfortunately, it is one of those fragrances that I cannot/may not really wear myself although I like them. The reason for this is the rather feminine orientation of the composition.

At first the top note starts off quite promisingly masculine. The often described almond is very fresh and distinctive, almost masculine.
For me it becomes problematic only from the heart note. There cherry and rose come to the fore. These two notes are very well implemented, almost smell a little bit delicious, but in my opinion they do not manage to do justice to the name L'Homme Ideal.
All in all, you can see that Guerlain has succeeded in combining high-quality ingredients to create what I think is an outstanding fragrance. Unfortunately, unfortunately, just rather to a unisex fragrance.

The special composition and the experience with the fragrance suggest to me that the term unisex niche fragrance would be more appropriate. Nevertheless, the grumbling is on a very high level

My signature fragrance
At the time I bought my first Chanel fragrance, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, I was still completely new to the world of fragrances.
Of course, the name Chanel has a direct appeal to a newcomer to perfume. I think it goes without saying that the expectations increased immeasurably

About half a year later I can report that all expectations were met and even exceeded. At this point I would not like to claim that Chanel AHSE is untouchable. There are certainly some designer or niche fragrances that are even more refined and full-fledged. But no other fragrance I have smelled so far is as versatile and balanced as this one.
The mint brings a very pleasant freshness to the composition, while the tonka bean brings a familiar southern vanilla note. The whole thing is rounded off by a slightly woody note in the base.

All in all, this is the perfect perfume for all those who want to define themselves through a fragrance and want to be remembered, regardless of the season - or time of day

Guilty conscience..
Normally, fragrances are discussed very controversially on different levels. Logical if you consider that a fragrance should reflect your own personality.

Bentley for Men Intense seemed to be a total exception. I have hardly known a fragrance that is perceived so positively according to YouTube and other sources. The scent composition, the enormous durability and the eccentric sillage were confirmed by every source. Even the price of 20 to 30 Euro for 100ml does not offer any criticism.

The logical conclusion was the scent. Of course, anticipation and expectation went out of control and the package was hardly there when it was already open.

I have now applied the fragrance more than once on paper, wrist or neck. I just can't do it.
As much as I wish I liked the scent, it won't be a love affair with us anymore. The strong smell of alcohol (rum, supposedly) disappears only after about an hour. Also the remaining notes are partly too soft and partly too loud. Cinnamon and vanilla I perceive only conditionally. Leather on the other hand remains dominant during the heart and base notes.
Admittedly, durability and silage are really monstrous, but unfortunately this is of little use to me.
It is not my intention to present this scent as bad. On the contrary! From a craftsman's point of view, this is certainly a successful fragrance. Unfortunately Bentley for Men Intense does not fit my personality at all.

So who can wear this scent?
In my opinion, a man of middle or advanced age. Who is looking for a perfume for evening events and/or the cold season. Perhaps also someone who wants to appear a little more affluent than he actually is.

If you find yourself in this description, I hope you enjoy the perfume. Unfortunately I had none.
