Wow! Garofano is absolutely GORGEOUS! I am super confused as to why in the world folks are claiming this smells of "Old People?" I dont get it! I mean, mmmaybe this dna is vintage in a 90's sorta way, but NOT "Old Fashioned" or "Dated." I think maybe folks are talking about what smells slightly of "Dead Flowers" or the fragrance's namesake (Carnation) but that's in the opening and soon fades and just turns into very fresh-cut florals, then Im getting the Soft yet prominent Clove note with a touch of sweetness. The Clove is not over-powering and it meets the floral and herbal notes half way making for a very unique, interesting "Unisex" scent leaning a bit on the feminine, but drying down more "Unisex." I will mention that although the Clove offers a soft/warmth, there's something "Austere", "Cold" or "Melancholic" about Garofano while also smelling quite fresh and exhilarating at the dame time which I find very interesting and alluring.

As for the performance, Garofano is dipping its toe into BEAST-MODE territory for sure which is very impressive for an EDT, especially these days when EVERYTHING seems watered down! When I opened my new package Id made the mistake of doing two spritzes on my arm to test it and man, it was SUPER POTENT and lasts quite some time on my skin! I am beyond impressed and so excited to have my first Lorenzo Villoresi and that its a blind-buy score! A 9 outta 10 fragrance (for now). I must also say that Garofano is definately not blind-buy safe. Its very unique and a bit "Wierd" smelling which I always look for in fragrances, but not everyone feels the same as I do which DEFINATELY makes Garofano NOT blind-buy safe imo.. An Awesomely, unique scent! Thanks for your great discription @Seerose! It helped me make an educated blind-buy, I LOVE It!

This scent is pretty amazing! The natural smelling anamalic Musk isnt a "Pissey" or "Fecal" type musc, but a "Clean Sweat" type which adds the perfect amount of depth and "Thickness" to the fragrance. The Raspberry is also fantastic and the note lingers throughout the entire wear which is nice. Its a nice balance of "Cñean Laundry" and a "Dirty" Musk and is actually fantastic for layering with. Its very long-lasting and gives me 8 to 9 hours on skin with nive projection and a little goes a long way! Ive grown to LOVE Atractone Musc!

This fragrance is really quite gorgeous and very Unique! I have a few "Cardamom Forward" fragrances in my collection, but none highlight the note of Cardamom quite like Lalique's Silver does. First In the opening you get a strong beautiful blast of sweet, smooth and mouthwatering "Candied" Lemon and Cardamom which projects very, VERY well for maybe 1.5 to 2 hours, then the opening starts to tone down significantly and the Slightly rugged leather along with the slightly bitter Galbanum starts peeking through while holding on to some of that amazing, aromatic Lemon/Cardamom opening again, making for a very unique wearing experience.

Now once Silver starts going into the mid it really does become much softer, leather, Galbanum and Vetiver dominant and becomes closer to the skin creating more of a strong, persistant personal "Scent bubble" vs projecting very strongly. I spritzed some on the back of my hand just before writing this review and as Im now sniffing it the gorgeous, sweet Lemon/Cardamom with faint touches of smokey Vetiver is just really intoxicating to me. Soon it'll transition into a more masculine "Leather dominant" fragrance while still retaining some of the opening notes and man! Does Lalique's Les Compositiones Silver smell FANTASTICO! Although I find Lalique Silver to smell very unique, it does smell quite a bit like a much stronger Salvador Dali-Le Roy Soliel Extreme and upon comparing the notes they both share the notes of Lemon, Cardamom and Haitian Vetiver. Lalique Silver Silver is EASILY and 8 outta 10 fragrance which lasts about 7 to 8 hours on skin and all day on clothes. Such a great Blind-Buy!

This fragrance is SOOO BEAUTIFUL! Its quite deep, incensy, cold-black pepper, Blood-Red-Rose that Anne Rice's Lestat would definately rock with! This fragrance is VERY Rose-Céntric, but with the other darker notes it manages to be quite "Unisex" although leaning (Slightly) Feminine. I, as a Guy feel totally comfortable wearing this scent.

Also, while I do agree with @THEWRONGBETH in regards to this fragrance (Initially) not performing very well, after having sprayed a bit out and letting it "Maturate" for a month or so the performance AND actual scent really did improved quite a bit. Also, initially I couldn't really smell the "Black pepper Note" and it didnt seem to last on skin very long, but NOW after owning it for a few months its become quite potent and more nuanced. I also really like how it starts off deep and dark, yet transitions into a very fresh/rose/Patchouli with touches of cold/clean incense. An EASY 9 outta 10 scent lasting 6 to 7 hours on skin and DAYS on clothes (this frag loves being on clothes). One of my fave, unisex-Rose-Soli-Flor fragrances fo sho! The definition of a "Hidden Gem!" (And this freakin' bottle ya'll! Very heavy-Gold metal cap, and luxurious, thick glass along with a good atomizer? Feels and smells like a very "Expensive" fragrance!

Just WOW! As a guy I am very much enjoying this fragrance! It does start off quite floral, yet has hints of something "Dirty" dancing around that Mimosa which just adds something very unique to this dna. Im also getting something like Dried Leaves or Hay which is a nuance that Ive actually been in search of in a fragrance. Theres also jiust the slightest tinge of smoke in here as well as a touch of sweetness All these nuances imo make this fragrance Unisex leaning slightly more Masculine although the opening is quite floral, but everything melds together during the mid creating something "Special." I can totally see a Well put together gentleman in a suit and tie in a professional setting rock this PERFECTLY again, bc of that slight dirtiness, dried leaves/hay and touch of smokiness. It has above average longevity, but does not have what id consider "Strong Projection." Creating a nice, sophisticated, lasting scent bubble and trail. Definately office- friendly and although I enjoy wearing this anytime (Its so inexpensive right now) I would consider L'oree Du Bois best for more Professional or Formal occasions. A very unique dna which makes this scent "Fun to wear" imo. An 8 outta 10 scent which I feel would also make a great Signature. Loving it!
