Smells amazing, starts off quite pungent which initially gave me the impression that this would atleast last on my skin like.every reviewer and their momma claimed it did, but im only getting 4 mmmaybe 5 hours TOPS, and lhats afyer a out 6 mļm

I am sorta shocked that folks are claiming that Duc De Varins L'extreme "lasts 10 to 12 hours on skin" when that s 100% FALSE! Now, does it "Smell.like a niche Drakkar Noirr?) YES! Duc De Varins L'extreme smells.very high quality, and natural,, but again,

Loewe-Origami is a gorgeous Fig-Leaf/Aromatic Fougere which smells unique, yet has a "Classic Touch." The Fig-Leaf and Lavender are the stars of the show here, but I feel that its the Cardamom that gives this scent its unique twist.

About the performance, when Id initially recieved/spritzed Origami, again I was struck by its fresh, aromatic beauty, but was VERY dissapointed with the longevity as it would honestly become an extremely faint skin-scent within 1 to 1.5 hours, and even on clothes it seemed quite fleeting to me. Id figured that I was going nose-blind, but Id asked a couple friends and they agreed that they couldn't smell anything on me after that short amount of time, and this was with a good 6 spritzes! I was so upset only bc I truley love e this amazing dna, and wanted to enjoy the smell for atleast a few hours.

Thankfully, the Maturation process does indeed help the performance improve quite drastically, but it did take a good 3 months, if not more for the performance improvement to take hold, but MAAAN! Was the wait worth it! Now Im getting a good 6 to 7 hours on skin, and atleast a couple days on clothes. So if ya have the patience, then I truley, highly recommend Loewe's- Origami bc it is quite beautiful, gentlemanly, mature, but definitely NOT dated, unique, and quite versatile!! CHEERS Frag'Fam!!

So, while initially I was a bit bummed with this purchase ONLY bc I already own Shalimar edp, Habit Rouge edt, as well as Habit Rouge Parfum, and Gold smells somewhat similar to both, I am now THRILLED with this purchase after wearing it all week! Now, while Gold does resemble those fragrances in the opening, its a more "Simplified version" which actually performs even better than Shalimar edp or Habit Rouge edt! (Not HR Parfum tho, thats a BEAST!)

Since its a simpler composition, Ive been having a TOTAL BLAST layering some of my other, more powdery fragrances with this, as well as with Habit Rouge edt bc Lalique Gold gives my other scents some "OOMPH" and it just seems to work with anything powdery really! So, if anyone has Habit Rouge edt, just try one full spritz of Gold, then one full spritz of Habit Rouge edt over Gold (did this on each shoulder/sleeve and lasted the entire day), Oh, also works amazingly with Caron Pour Un Homme De Caron bc of the Vanilla and Powdery aspects of both the Caron and Gold, and THEN ya'll can thank me later! ALSO, I'd recieved 3 unsolicited compliments just yesterday, and a couple before yesterday during the week while wearing Gold which honestly surprised me bc I really do consider this a very "Vintage dna" and didn'tknow how it would go over at work, but hey, the people have spoken, and they seem to LOVE IT! lol! A very beautiful, unisex-classic dna! CHEERS!!

Admittedly, Im a bit dissapointed bc Lalique Les Compositions- Gold lies somewhere in between Guerlain's Habit Rouge and Shalimar, and I already own both fragrances. Now, Gold veers closer to Habit Rouge imo. I LOVE Habit Rouge, but while it does last quite a long time on clothes, it doesn't lasts very long on skin, so what I do is layer one spritz of Lalique- Gold, and then one spritz of Habit Rouge edt over it, and they meld together PERFECTLY while prolonging the wear of Habit Rouge. Gold also smells fantastic on it own, has good Longevity and again, veers closer to Habit Rouge bc the Bergamot and Vanilla notes are amplified in Gold, but does not have the smokey/resinous aspects of Shalimar, so when Id done a side by side with Shalimar and Gold, the two were easy to tell apart, but it's def not as easy to tell apart from Habit Rouge. This was a great pick up indeed and I highly recommend it to folks who enjoy powdery, classic fragrances, but if you already own Guerlain's Habit Rouge, or Shalimar, then Lalique Gold will probably be a bit refundant in your collection. Still though, this is a fabulous fragrance fo sho! CHEERS!!

Ive been wanting to grab a bottle of this scent for a couple years now, Its even on sale currently, but the name just makes this un-purchaseable!

Wow! So, Ive been collecting quite a few "80's style Masculine, powerhouse classics" such as Jacques Bogart- Signature, One Man Show, Bogart Pour Homme, RL- Polo. Jaguar Pour Homme, YSL- Kouros, Giorgio Beverly Hills PH, Drakkar Noire, YSL - Opium PH edt, etc, etc, and while some of those have a few similarities to one another, Caron's -Yatagan truley stands apart in its daring complexity! Yatagan smells EXTREMELY natural, starting of smelling of very realistic, fresh Pine "a la Christmas Tree", then the Birch begins peeking through making Yatagan become slowly but surely more and more Smokey while never becoming too smokey like someone's omega actually burning wood such as some of the latest "Niche Offerings" which I happen to also enjoy as well. Then Yatagan settles into a rich, green, slightly (and I do mean slightly) Anamalic, woody/smokey concoction which is truely STUNNING and super classy/sophisticated!

Word of advice, you MUST let your new bottles of Yatagan MATURATE! Thing is that when Id first recieved my bottle, Yatagan wore extremely thin, faint and was quite fleeting, only lasting on my skin a couple hours while again, wearing very close to the skin from Opening to Skin-Scent, but since Im not exactly new to this hobby/obsession (LOL!), I knew better than to judge Yatagan immediately after unboxing it. About 3 weeks to a month later the Scent and performance had improved by leaps and bounds, and now lasts on my skin a good 8 or so hours with moderate projection leaning more on the modest/polite side, but the elegant, soft sillage is still very noticable while leaving these wonderful scent trails. For a green Piney fragrance with Citrus Yatagan has ZERO sharp edges or astrinency and simply smells quite "Expensive."

In my book, Yatagan is an EASY 10 outta 10 within its genre and has NO BUSINESS being as crazy-affordable as it is! Honestly, Id have paid upto $100 or more for Yatagan bc its most certainly well worth it! Thanks for taking the time to whomever read this! Cheers yall!
