Modern Vanilla
Ok yeah the vibe I’m getting from this is a good alternative to a lot of modern vanilla scents. It’s incredibly approachable and has that ‘concrete’ base a lot of modern scents tend to have. It’s sweet and feels akin to a hot glue gun. Absolutely addictive when paired with freshly brewed coffee fumes though.
Slightly underwhelming, but it still meets the prompt and feels like a light bulb in an old attic or something.

Sure is wet rocks
Well, I fell for the hype. This is like the diurnal version of Night Flyer by Ellen Covey (first version of zoologist Bat).
Immediately I can see massive limestone slabs jutting out of a mountain with constant water slithering down - but the perfume overall feels quite dry. Maybe dusty? I’m thinking concrete. There’s also an intangible sweetness in here that feels similar to a lot of designer freshies. Interesting to see this here as the perfumer’s - Spyros - other works feel much more round and niche. Baruti has quite a signature through line.
Overall, I think this is a fine fragrance. Feels much in line with a traditional male cologne with a distinct edge. But nothing crazy to pick it out of the pack. For something more interesting with this similar edge I would just go straight for Night Flyer.
My friend who sniffed it unprompted off the travel vile said “ughhhhh…. this is a male manipulator’s scent” but she also only likes florals and vanillas.
I’ll refrain from getting a full bottle of this scent.

Nostalgia Bait
Reminds me a lot of the tanning lotion my mom used to wear when she’d take my brother and I to the water park as a kid.
There’s this bright amber, Apple/oily contrast grounded with woods - a very generic wood base. But at least it allows the apple and rose to really sing.
I doubt I’d get this for myself, but definitely for my mother since it’s a profile she can truly enjoy.

Everywhere!
Holy crap this is everywhere in Germany. I can't speak for other cities/countries but I've been all over Deutschland now and I cannot walk behind someone without smelling this.
It pairs especially well with the cigarettes permeating every inch of city life - sweet gourmand and bitter cigar, beautiful contrast. However, smelling it this much, I'm getting just a bit tired of this scent. Not bad, don't get me wrong, just nothing unique now. So keep that in mind if you're looking to pick up a bottle these days. Definitely would fit your bill if you're a Münchener and smoke, that's for sure.

2 for 2
Another ELDO that reminds me of an Old Spice - Wolfthorn. Used to LOVE that back in my junior high days and I have such fond memories associated with this scent. It's a really seductive yet understated (in a good way) pepper wood blanket. Think of the spice of life, making mundane things a little more exciting.
The funny thing is the first time sampling this scent I really recoiled from it. Felt extremely too masculine and brooding. But I gave it a test on my skin, and boy am I glad. Such a nostalgic trip for me.
