It was my introduction to the world of niche fragrances. I had never been particularly interested in perfume before and only owned "Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc (Eau de Toilette) | Lacoste" and "Only The Brave (Eau de Toilette) | Diesel". At the time, a work colleague walked past me and the scent he was following was completely new to me. It had its very own characteristics - it seemed precious, special and yet not intrusive. After he told me that he was wearing "Aventus Cologne | Creed", I think I looked up exactly what it was the same afternoon and was quite astonished at the price. A fragrance that costs €255.00 for 100ML? Is it really worth it? It took me two weeks to reconsider the whole thing. Two weeks in which this fragrance burned itself into my skin. And two weeks in which I also got to smell it 1-2 times at work'.
I was really excited when I ordered it and waited for the package. When the fragrance arrived, I unpacked it, sprayed it on straight away and was flashed. This fragrance was so fresh and citrusy, it smelled elegant and hygienic, at the same time super sparkling and wild, but also down-to-earth and masculine. In addition to the freshness and citrus, there are beautiful peppery nuances that give the whole thing its spicy and masculine touch. All in all, I was just completely satisfied. The bottle has been used every day since then and was empty after 3 months. This brings me to the point of the H/S... I was actually quite happy with my 21R01 batch. It was always very present for me for the first 2 hours, but I also liked it so much that I quickly became scent-blind afterwards. Those around me found my 5 sprays to be very present and asked me not to apply any more-which I did anyway, of course, to smell the fragrance myself again.
When I had 5 sprays on it, it was really quite decent with about 6-7 hours. My new 100ML from 2023, on the other hand, lasts more like 4-5 hours... As is typical for Creed, the batches also smell slightly different. There is less pepper in the 23', which is a shame, as it is precisely these notes that make the fragrance so special. In general, it often happens that even bottles with the same batch/production period smell damn different. You really have to be lucky here.
All in all, I can recommend the fragrance despite the price and the 6.5/10 durability. A fragrance that causes a stir and compliments on a special morning/day/evening/night. It always fits and although it could hardly be more unique, it knows how to fly under the radar. The fragrance adapts to every occasion and simply always works.
I have never lost my love for it and experience it every time as if it were day one. The only fragrance in my collection that has been repurchased three times and will be bought a fourth and fifth time.

In my opinion, the "Nuit de Feu | Louis Vuitton" is really rated too poorly here. There is often talk of animal components and the smell of cattle sheds. It's true that the scent is very strong and almost pungent in the first 2-3 minutes, but it becomes super mild and pleasant immediately after the dry-down.
I smell woodiness, smoke and an almost chocolaty sweetness. It all comes across as super high-quality and you can clearly tell that it contains real oud. For me, it's a very rounded and special fragrance. I wear it very often in fall and winter, almost daily (it's too heavy for spring and summer). However, you have to be aware that it makes quite a statement and you have to wear it with conviction. The feedback from my friends etc. is 30% good and 70% not really good.
I think you just have to want to like it and not be put off by first impressions. I have learned to love it and therefore don't take the opinions of others too seriously.
The sillage and longevity are really not particularly good for an oud fragrance. However, the fact that the environment usually perceives the fragrance as unpleasant is quite compatible with the idea of wearing a perfume that is almost only perceived close to the skin or subliminally.
