warm, soapy, citrusy floral, moves more herbal on the drydown
i really enjoy this scent! it starts off smelling like a nice floral citrusy soap that you would use in the claw-foot tub-turned shower of a sun-drenched bathroom in an charming old house in the countryside. on the drydown it turns more into the herb garden outside of the cottage. i find the herbal notes really nice, the rosemary comes through in a big way which i love :)
Interesting and peculiar, but not an everyday fragrance
Vibes: It is the sun bearing down on you, bloodied from senseless violence. It is sensuality in the shadowed niche of an incense-choked church.
This fragrance is Strong with a Capital S. Wow. To me, this is one of IA's more story-focused fragrances, one that is supposed to be challenging and thought-provoking but less widely appealing. The sillage and longevity are certainly above-average - this scent will linger long after a shower and some scrubbing. This one wasn't for me (incense and musk are not my bag) so I passed my sample onto a friend who might appreciate it more.
