Opens with a burst of elegant, vintage and indolic jasmine followed by a faint smell of cigarette smoke and unlit cigarettes. I can picture a chic lady wearing a fur coat, reapplying her jasmine perfume after smoking a cig with her best friends on a night out, ridiculously chic but also kinda trashy in the best way possible, this is what Erotica (the album) by Madonna smells like to me

Going into this perfume oil, I expected what most people have described this scent as, a perfect petrichor! But that's not what I got and thankfully I am not mad!

I personally got the EU version (The Library Of Fragrance), which seemingly has different ingredients from the regular US version due to regulations in such.

Overall, It reminds of a wet garden of chamomile and different soft florals after a heavy rain, I can also sense a soil note which I have picked up in their other fragrances like Dirt and Zombie For Him (Which BTW Is the most PERFECT soil and dead leaf scent i have put my nose on).

If you want a petrichor fragrance, then try to aim for their Demeter release of thunderstorm!

This is what i wanted to expect from demeter's dirt but didn't. Smells like wet soil, mushrooms, moss and dead leaves in a forest. Very earthy and lovely scent, not everyone will get it, but it fulfills my need for an earthy fragrance I can layer over anything to bring out more soil! Perfect for cold, foggy and wet autumn mornings, will be adding this to my autumn tray!

P.S it layers quite nice with encre noire!!

This is gorgeous! Opens with a slight marine and sand smell and then turns into a suncreen skin scent. Smells like powdery, clean sunscreen-lathered skin with a hint of sand, like a hot summer day at the beach with your friends, it is very lovely and has a vintage quality to it! To me, it does not really remind me of a mermaid, maybe a cartoon mermaid!

This smells like Christmas mass in a church. Opens with a cold churchy incense and pine smell and dries down to the churchy incense with a minty nuance, a very beautiful incense for incense lovers, on my the minty menthol smell pulls through which I don't like, lovely regardless! If you love incense then this is a must try, magnum opus.
