Nasty.
I don't usually like to be so brutal in my reviews (I respect that different people like different things!), but this is... just so genuinely unpleasant in every way. It stings to smell it. It's dry, it's bitter, it's just a straight up WEIRD and off-putting smell that I have trouble even describing. The "dried fruits" are most of what I'm getting here, but like... sickeningly sweet dried fruits that got smashed up a little, drizzled with expired honey, have sat in a musty basement for too long, and are covered with a thick layer of dust. Chocolate/coffee/cream/pastry/vanilla... uhhh, not so much as a whiff.
Chocolate note lovers, I definitely wouldn't recommend. Coffee note lovers, I also wouldn't recommend. Fruit note lovers... I'd recommend if you like smelling like nondescript jam mixed with like... honey and cough syrup.

a rollercoaster for me
I'll preface this by saying I'm a HUGE lover of the smell of gasoline. I have a gasoline scented candle sitting on my desk beside me right now. If I could only smell one thing for the rest of my life, it wouldn't be perfume, fresh flowers, a new car or freshly baked cookies. It would be gasoline.
Okay, I got a little carried away--but when I say I was hopeful for this one, I want you to know how much I mean it. And while it's not pure gas station goodness, I wasn't quite expecting that, so I'm not really disappointed. And at first whiff, you really do get that potent, unmistakable scent of gasoline.
Right after the opening, I really am NOT a fan of this one. My big smile fades away lol. It turns spicy, and it surprises me that there's no pepper in this, as that's what it reminds me of. But I'm grateful, because this little transition barely lasts. A minute later this settles into a smooth leathery scent with just a hint of that gasoline in the background. Do I wish that part was stronger? Absolutely. But the leather is fantastic too. And it's worth that short-lived little interval where I'm just a bit put off.
Another one of those scents I know I'd be crazy about on a guy lol. I need to start a "scents I'd make my bf wear" list. This will undoubtedly be in the top 5.

from insta-love to just okay
The first time I sprayed my sample, I was in love... but wearing it today on my skin, it's just alright, if not a little annoying. This one reminds me of pistachio, as it has that very specific nutty element to it that smells like soda to me. On paper it was a lovely, sweet vanilla, but on my skin it's a little sharp.
personal preference
I want to preface this by saying this is a good, TRUE gourmand scent! If you want to smell like a sweet, buttery ginger cookie, look no further. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of ginger and perfumes, nor butter--and despite this not having a butter note, it sure smells like it does.
This stuff has decent silage too, much to my dismay as though I've put my blotter card in the trash, the scent still lingers in my room from the corner lol. I personally won't be keeping my free sample, but I could easily see this being an instant love for someone else.

my favorite type of mango
Mango scents are either a total hit or a total miss for me, and this one is a hit! The floral and skin elements turn it into more of an earthy-fruity than a candy-fruity, which is my personal preference--but they're not taking too much away from the mango, either. It's undeniably still the star, and still sweet as well.
This will be an incredibly easy reach during the summer. There is something creamy about it to me (think of a hint of beachy white florals, as opposed to a stuffy white floral), but I can't imagine it being cloying at all.
As with all PINK mists, the sprayer on this is LETHAL. I've had water guns with better atomizers than this lol. Will definitely leave you a bit damp.
