The perfect all-season masculine fragrance

I was devastated when Atelier Cologne stopped selling in North America and this perfume was the reason. It is the perfect all-season unisex-leaning-masculine fragrance. Cool, crisp, woody, and citrusy, a breath of fresh air in the summer and the essence of a snow day in the winter. It’s a rare lemon note that doesn’t smell like kitchen cleaner on me, but this one is perfect.

I agree with the comparison to Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, but this fragrance is heavier on the woodsy notes and that one is heavier on the citrus. As with all Atelier Cologne perfumes, it has impressive sillage and lasting power, which I expect at that price point.

Overall, one of my all-time faves and I will be devastated when my bottle runs out.

What a gorgeous mix of lemon, cedar, vetiver and berries...

Not a heavy woods scent as might be expected from the name, but more of an airy, fresh, summery and slightly fruity concoction with added Iso-E Super.

Opening with lemon and blackcurrant, this one gives way to sweet, somewhat muted cedar with hints of apricot in the heart and ends on a base of vetiver and white musk. Very clean and smooth, but I do not detect any amber as listed. Great for summertime and casual days.

Unfortunately, performance is poor in both projection ending at the two hour mark as well as longevity which - as a skinscent - lasts approximately an hour or two more.

Best for everyday wear

One of my favourite perfumes for everyday. For me it smells like blackcurrant leaves mixed with woody notes, musk and a bit citrus notes. Longevity on me is very good, I feel it throughout the day, but it's not too loud, so very office-friendly. Try it on hand first, it's very hard to evaluate this fragrance on paper.

Sweet, sour, balsamic then ambery

This is an oddity to me because it seems to go from one end of the spectrum to the other.

What im talking about is sort of a sour/balsamic or vinegary type of vibe but then I also, at other times, get that Iso E Super and ambroxan smell to it and yes, Dior Sauvage does come to mind.

The way some talk about apricot, then maybe that's the acidic aroma I'm getting. What I love is the Ambroxan which within Sauvage's review I have described as a hazey type of smell.

Cedar is not the main character here.

Earthy, forest-like cedar + bergamot

Equal parts:
1) cool but bright bergamot
2) sweet, musky cedar

It feels earthy, masculine-leaning (but still unisex), refreshing, but intimate and warm all at the same time.

The imagery that pops into my head is a cool fall day in a forest, with sun starting to peek out from the overcast clouds after a refreshing drizzle.

Would also be great for a cozy afternoon on a rainy day, inside a coffee shop with your favorite turtleneck, ready to chat with someone you're close to.

A prominent crisp cedar note is surrounded by very fresh blackcurrant, vetiver and citrus. A beautifully clean woody scent.

To me this is just a very weak Bleu De Chanel, I'd save up money and probably get the Bleu Eau De Parfum if I was into citrus and creamy, clean cedar.
