monoicentric

this is another scent I ordered a decant of just for the experience. it smells like a combination of banana laffy taffy and banana runts. however, considering it's an extrait, I think it actually performed less well than Mango Colada in terms of longevity and projection. I also wasn't impressed with the dry down, which ended up being a really strange fusty floral?

I ordered a decant of this just to try something way out of my comfort zone. while I would never wear it, it was a lot of fun! it opens with a really juicy mango note. this ended up being the most prominent part of it for me. after about 45 minutes, it smelled more like mango shampoo than real mango, but it wasn't bad. many hours later (probably 5-6), the coconut cream and vanilla still lingered (and it was quite a nice combination!)

this isn't an unpleasant fragrance, but wow is it pink. very bubblegum-y before it settles into more of a jasmine scent. definitely reminds me of something from my childhood (though I can't remember what at the moment). somehow this ended up being a really nostalgic fragrance, but it's so bright (AND PINK) that I would not wear this.

I initially rated this higher when I first tried it, but I think I'd sampled so many horrid fragrances back to back that when I got to this I was relieved that it didn't smell terrible. It starts very fresh and floral, then gets much creamier and sweeter. My second time using it, I realized the almond milk is just a little too heavy and cloying, which is why ultimately it's a like, but not a love. I've tried lactonics that are nicer than this so I don't think I'll even finish the sample, but it's overall still a pleasant scent.

this is the fragrance that made me realize woody fragrances simply do not work on me. This ended up smelling like ointment, band-aids, and fusty damp wood. Points for longevity because it lingered even after I scrubbed it, but I've also had scrubbers that persist after several scrubs and this was not one of them.
