Buko pandan in a bottle!
this smells just like buko pandan!! (which is a Filipino desert with pandan jelly, shredded young coconut meat, cream, and sweetened condensed milk) This is a creamy coconut milk with sweet powdery rice, airy white florals, and prominent pandanus. (Pandanus smells like a grassy, nutty, green vanilla for reference) This smells just like a sweet coconut and vanilla dessert with fresh aquatic accords and creamy sandalwood. Genuinely always impressed by Prin Lomros and the scents he makes
Angelic & Powdery
This opens with the combination of extremely powdery violets and heliotrope that reminds me of baby powder and conversational hearts. It smells like sweet violet scented baby powder dusted over a garden of heliotropes which I personally enjoy. As this dries down you get a lot of sweet almond, a warm tonka bean, and some dusty benzoin that adds some depth to the scent. It still maintains that pastel purple aura all throughout, powdery, dusty, light, and coquette adjacent. The final result is a powdery scent with sweet facets and warm undertones. This scent feels really simple but in an undeniably enjoyable way.
Didn’t work for me
I wanted to love this one based off the notes but there’s a weirdly sharp and astringent citrus undertone going on in the whole scent. It’s also extremely powdery and I think it’s a combination of the fragipani and the heavy musk. There isn’t much going on here either besides a mild sweetness from the vanilla and a vague woodiness, but no tea and no honey. This one was just a miss for me.
Meh Boxed Wine
This opens with the smell of a glass of wine with some rosy nuances to it. As the scent develops, the sharpness you get in the opening softens, and you get a smoother wine smell. The fruity notes shine in the heart of this with hints of tartness, however I think overall the wine smell here becomes a cheap boxed wine type of vibe. It doesn’t read as “expensive bottle of aged wine” it reads like store bought $10 wine in a box. I don’t think boxed wine is necessarily the worst thing in the world but for a fragrance it reads like a lack of finesse and depth. The dry down of this is dark and dry woods with only hints of wine left over, and to be very honest the projection and sillage both leave something to be desired. It’s a quick fade of a scent and very close to skin. I think it works for the first few moments as a scent but overall, it falls flat. I think their scent Dom Rosa is a better take on a boozy scent.
An aquatic and smoky fig
An interesting combo of some aquatic and green fig with smoked dry incense. There’s some woodiness backing the scent to add some depth, with the dry down being more vetiver forward with remnants of that smoky fig. I think the juxtaposition here works really well and I enjoy the scent. Would recommend for someone looking for a non typical fig scent!
