This is the second of the Freedom Collection perfume that I'll be testing out (will be going through them in alphabetical order).
The first few minutes, dare I say first half hour of this fragrance, is not what I was expecting at all. A very strong, masculine lavender assaults my nose and I'm left with a powdery, spicy and herbal
aroma. Very masculine, but that might be a me-thing since I strongly associate lavender with my dad's cologne from when I was a child. As it moves on, I smell a struggling note of spicy warmth coming from the cinnamon. Fortunately, the lavender does end up receding and that's when the coffe milk note does start coming in. It's pretty soft, barely any coffee or chocolate, but I do get a creamy, milky note. Soothing, sweet, calming and kind of nice. It didn't wow me, but I was glad I was getting what the fragrance was being marketed for. Drydown starts getting more woody as the lavender dissipates and the creamy, mily note melds into the usual Kayali base (sweet vanilla, powdery tonka and musk). The drydown smells more sophisticated than what its name suggests, but also fit for bedtime vibes and just lounging around at home on a day off.
Overall, it's an okay fragrance, although the lavender blast was thoroughly off-putting for me. It won't be getting into my collection since I'm not a fan of masculine lavender and I didn't really care for the coffee milk note. As of now, I can't say I'm wowed by any of the Freedom fragrances. They're fine as they are, but they're clearly missing some of that sparkle I smelled in past Kayali fragrances.

A note on the Freedom Collection set:
I've learned from my Vacay in A Bottle blind purchase mistakes so this time I only bought the sample set and not the mini bottles. Reviews on social media have been lukewarm at best and although I'm always hyped to try out Kayali fragrances, I've become more strict about which fragrances enter my collection to avoid any waste and money ill-spent.
Based only on the fragrance notes of all four Freedom Collection fragrances, I've listed what I think will be my order of preferences :
Musk Matcha| 45,
Musk Latte | 41,
Musk Bouquet | 27,
Musk Santal | 34. At the end of the fourth review, I'll be seeing how I rank them after having tested them all.
