Considering most companies don’t announce something is no longer in production, how exactly are we supposed to prove this? KVD saint and sinner have been discontinued for years (yes, the 2017 relaunch versions) but my edits keep being rejected. Meanwhile fragrances that aren’t discontinued and are just sold out are marked as no longer in production.

I did once with a screenshot of the official website searching page with a "No result for X found" result, and it worked.
Another time, i did it with a screenshot of an online chat with the customer service of the brand.
I'd think the online chat with customer service would be the best. A listing not on the website isn't always proof. At one time, Hermes removed Bel Ami Vétiver from their website. However, when I emailed their customer service if it was discontinued, they replied that it was not and would be available soon. About a month later it showed up at discounters again and popped up on their website.
I wish Mugler hadn’t discontinued A*Men Pure Havane prior to me getting into tobacco scents. I would have loved to try it.

This also was the case with 24, Faubourg Eau de Parfum Prices went over the roof at online shops and it was not on their website any longer for a year or two, then suddenly prices were 'normal' again and it was also back on their website.
