Church scents but focused on beewax and myrrh?

I am so craving two different kind of church scents, but none of them it's about incense, and I hope to get some recommendations.

First of all - it doesn't have to be too resinous, I don't have a great relationship with resins and I've found some Adi Ale Van to be too much for me (except for U.M.B.R.E. that was delicious).

I don't mind the "Church" pictured to be solemn, I like that. But not menacing. I'm catholic (if that could help) and I'm trying to find the scent not of a cathedral, but of a little Church by the countryside, a lot of beewax candles flickering and all. I want it to be very waxy (my dream is a full of Candelabra ) or serene as Grimoire or La Liturgie des Heures (but hopefully, more long-lasting).

I'm from Italy so of course I know Sorcinelli, tested few of his and I'm currently waiting for LAVS , Reliqvia , Hæc dies and Pont. Max. so I do not need his works to be suggested, thanks!

Another note: I've already tested Oud Pagode , Baptisma, Scapular and Baptisma but none of them really worked on me. If there are other Chapel Factory worth it, let me know and please describe it a bit. I'm trying to fit as many information as possible so it can be easier for people to help me.

To sum it up: I need something very waxy and woody, or something serene with lavender and frankincense (but not the stingy kind...)

You'd mentioned Candelabra, have you tried Cathedral Noir?

Series 3: Incense - Avignon also comes to mind, though it's lacking the candlewax.

Diptyque Eau Lente (myrrh, spices, and soft resins)
Goutal Myrrhe Ardente (rich myrrh with ambery warmth)

Hiram Green Slowdive (realistic honeycomb and beeswax).

this one La Liturgie des Heures as you mentioned is very nice, but just like you say, such little church by the countryside as you like, I like those little churches at the Lakes in Italy, so iam also looking for a more dry hay-like outside environment vibe like Full Incense Montale does have, but its missing that wax and those wild flowers and dry flower bushes. what lingers also around in those small churches, its so difficult to find.

Yes, as an italian that's exactly what I'm looking for - a mix between the countryside vibe and the liturgical wax!

Iam not really into layering of perfumes, to me things get fast messed up, maybe in the beginning or in the dry down but on some way it goes somewhere wrong, not that iam against it bc if people like to do this its fine and up to them, but have you thought about something like this? 

The thing that comes closer, even if not exactly as I would want it, it's Altamura ... you get a liturgical incense but with the warm bricks italian summer vibe. It's only missing the countryside part...

I'm not one that layers too much as well. Did you ever try Grimoire ? That's a very nice take as well, same vibes as La Liturgie des Heures but longevity and sillage are better

Iam not sure if I will like the alcohol scent into Altamura and the fruity touch (Orange) Iam also not sure about, maybe an Italian bergamot (Calabrian) should fit better, this lingers also often around to those areas.

I didnt tried Grimoire bc of the Lavendel, dont get me wrong bc I do like Lavendel, but to me it reminds me more to France instead of the little churches at the lakes in Italy... the warm bricks is a very nice touch btw, thats interesting for sure!

If you're concerned it would smell like citruses, it doesn't I'm not a fan of citruses haha. It blends in well with it. The warm bricks, you can find those as well in Terræ di Siena even tho its slightly different ^^

I think I will sample Terræ di Siena to be honest thx!! there is hay into it, no patchouli, its only sad not available in my own country, but profumerie liberti does do international shipping and does have samples, but first I want to go to some shop in my own country to ask what she all have and can advice, that shop is not near here, but I wanted already to plan a day for it.

Yes, I've tested it lately and I love it dearly!!!! Super on point!

Comme des Garçons Avignon would be one of my first suggestions. It has a strong church-incense vibe with a dry, smoky character.

I like this scent (and own it) but it fades really quickly, LAVS is similar but much more potent with better longivity.

I am waiting for the full!

Also, I found out other scents to try for those interested, Incenso delle Chiese di Roma and others from the brand 😀

La Liturgie des Heures and Eau Sacrée also belong in the same family as Lavs in my opinion.

I have yet to try Eau Sacrée but I absolutely love La Liturgie des Heures

Oh how could I forget Ma Nishtana also very good!
