Only a little. The beauty of Triffid's clue is that it would be impossible to figure out using an anagram solver because one word is English, another is Spanish and another is French. What gave it away was the shortness of the phrase - only eleven letters for three words. Which house gives their fragrances one word names (and short words at that)? Epic, Fate, Lyric, Ubar, Ciel, Dia, Gold... Why, it's Amouage, the House of Bankruptcy!
I'm submitting this answer because I'm almost certain it's wrong. "Sleepy Hollow" by Deep Midnight Perfumes?
(Anagram solver? I didn't know there were such things. I write the letters in a circle and look for syllable patterns - I guess that's the equivalent of Writing text using quill and ink.)
Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male Kilt Collector - I'm guessing (and hoping) there's not more than one decapitated dude wearing a skirt. Thought I'd crash your party. It looks like the regular Le Male just raided Barbie's boyfriend Ken's closet. How tacky can you get?!
Triffid: Oh, surely that must be it, Pandasmom! Welcome back to the game.
Pandasmom, as I was searching for the answer I saw that bottle and it didn't even register! Excellent sleuthing! And what angle was I working on? A perfume based on Macbeth...
Welcome back, Pandasmom, and well done there with the correct answer.
"It looks like the regular Le Male just raided Barbie's boyfriend Ken's closet. How tacky can you get?!" Yeah. If you look closely at the member photos of the bottle the kilt looks like it's been trimmed in glitter, but I still love it a little just because well, it's a man in a kilt.
I see the kilt appeal in that ad, Cryptic (ankle socks notwithstanding) but I think most of those blokes would look good in anything! Greysolon, I was thinking about kilts but searched fruitlessly for Scots or Scottish. Ended up pursuing headless horsemen instead.
Thanks for welcoming me back guys. I suppose it's "my turn", but if anyone is working on a clue/riddle or has something in mind already, please feel free to go ahead. I'm freed up tomorrow so perhaps I could conjure up a clue at some point during the day, but I'm in no big hurry. And yes, ladies, trust me, I have no objection to a man in a kilt, especially if that man is in fact a Scot. Imo it takes a real man to pull off wearing a skirt (especially in the cold brrr lol)
"Just Me" by Montana ...because it seemed to answer the question.
I was surprised to learn all the perfumes that start with "Just" from different houses using the same name. No flankers and almost every perfume is from a different house: Just Me x 3 Just Oud x 3 Just Gold x 3 Just Black x 2 Just Pink x 2
First name (hyphenated) of the perfumer and one of his fragrances...
There once was a nose named ___________ - ____________, whose talent with scents made him god. He mix’t mirabelle and plum, an idea not dumb, so ____________ smells not at all odd.
