The bubbly chronicles...
s the sole piece of Le Petit Marseillais line directly targeted for men. Smelling like a vintage powerhouse is a rather rare quality for cleansing stuff in 2016. All the more that this powerhouse lives in a shanty amidst the lush frondescence thriving under the towering trees of an ancient forest.Wrath - Pino Silvestre by Weruska & JoelWell, it's Pino "The Greeno" Silvestre, what else can I say? Bitter,...

"KNIZE TEN" Extravaganza.
dear friend Alfarom (AKA Francesco Alfa Romero) wrote a really passionate review for KNIZE TEN, then I added a few pictures. A great reviewer for a great scent, I should say.http://raidersofthelostscent.blogspot.it/2015/05/g...Anyway, I think Alfarom's blog is *really* amazing and much, much better than mine (neroprofumo.blogspot.it )Take it easy...

Vintage talks and reason walks...
would be going livid while thinking of her/him laughing with the sucker's naiveness. I already know the reason behind this absurdity going on with vintage fragrance prices. It's called greed and it's also responsible for most of the bad things happening on our tiny blue sphere. The reason I wrote these words is that I find it hugely unfair and extremely annoying to not being able to enjoy something...

On Quality
on the packaging front because even though the bottle is a heavy opaque black glass, the gold rock top is plastic! (photo via blog.malva-parfume) And even one of my favorites, Aerin Lauder, made the beauty of her precious perfumes ($125 for 50 mls) dim with the plastic tops. (I wrote about her Evening Rose before.) Now, I understand that all designers would love to create the most magnificent scents in the best bottles...

The attachment to past memories
and when I worked as a temporary secretary, during lunch time in midtown Manhattan, I did the rounds to the department stores and they practically threw the samples at the customers, the way nowadays one must duck away not to be spritzed. The updated "Jean-Louis Scherrer" is almost as good. I wrote about the deal. I look forward to wearing it, it matches my mood in the hot New York summer days...

International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. Annual Meeting
Last, not least, here is a link to behind the scenes, what the Company does. Basenotes member Neil Sternberg wrote an excellent article, a while back (published in THE PERFUME MAGAZINE on December 30, 2011) where he really had access and met the people. And it was highly enjoyable. I wish I had the opportunity of such a tour ... ... ...

How do I love thee ... let me count the ways
nbsp;the preferences change as we go on forward with scent experiences, either chosen or accidental. Which is this wonderful perfume, you will say. Meet "La Route d'Emeraude (2012)" by Isabey. Ever since I sniffed the sample from dear member Zora, I have been smitten. I wrote a review which is just a few bare words as a result of my first impressions. ...

Photos of HRH Emperor Oliver lost in the void...
these images deficient in some way? Pray tell! ---------------------- Here is what I just wrote in the forum about this matter (May 15, 2013): A few points: 1. Every picture has a story behind it. Why do my pictures all contain HRH Emperor Oliver? Because in 2009 he developed diabetes and suffered a stroke. As a result, I have been unable to travel as is my wont....

Interview with Ramón Monegal 11th July 2012 during his Germany visit
did you bring up to write a book? Ramón: The idea to write a book has existed for a very long time, but I didn’t want to write a reference book. When I left Puig and took one year off, I took the opportunity to bring my thoughts to paper. So I wrote this olfactory novel, which results in a real perfume „Quintaessencia“....
