...I buy almost all of my perfumes on-line.  I would say that 99 out of every 100 of my perfumes were purchased on-line, so this is significant for me and people like me who buy a lot on-line.  I have purchased from several grey market sellers with few problems overall.  Last year I purchased an expensive fragrance from The Perfume Box in New Jersey.  At the time, I recommended them in one of my posts somewhere.  Well, I can no longer recommend them after what they did with my private contact information today.I planned to order several fragrances in a couple of days, so I logged into my account and put some fragrances into my cart.  A short while later, they sent a marketing text message to my mobile re one of the more expensive fragrances in my cart..  I was/am livid!!!  My mobile number is for friends, family, and legitimate business phone calls ONLY and never for marketing text messages from ANYONE!!  I have never given my permission to ANYONE to send me marketing text messages.  I cannot imagine anyone wants to receive marketing text messages to his/her personal, private number.I tried to bell their 800 number.  They STILL have their number on answer phone, and you cannot leave them a message either.  I tried to bell the number they texted me from.  The number cannot be called.  Tells you a lot about how much they want anyone, even customers, to contact them by phone or text, huh??I am SICK TO DEATH of inappropriate marketing.  I have mostly stopped all junk mail coming to my home.  I have blocked many phone numbers and emailers.  I hate marketers!!!  If I want to buy something, I do my research and make a decision.  No amount of marketing of any kind will ever induce me to buy anything.  This has gotten so out of hand.  From last Thanksgiving onward, I received 5 or more emails PER DAY from various companies including Macy's, Lancome, Neimans, etc., all the way until well after New. Years Day.  This goes too far.  They look desperate, and they show their total disrespect for people by doing this sort of thing.  They go TOO FAR.  NO ONE WANTS TO RECEIVE 5 MARKETING EMAILS A DAY FROM ANYONE!!  And, personally, I do not ever want any messages sent to my mobile by anyone who sells anything.This was a egregious breach of trust and a total abuse of my personal contact information.  I do not pay for phone service to receive spam text messages from ANYONE.  Beware of what they will do with your contact information if you allow them to have it.  I recommended them last year, but I no longer recommend them.  CAVEAT EMPTOR!

...I am unfamiliar with either of those perfumes, but that might have something to do with it.  The D&G definitely says "banana," though.

...I am so sorry to hear this.  You are talking about Hypnotic Poison, yes?  I actually was talking about Poison in the green box.  I imagine it has been reformulated, too, though.  Such a pity.....

...I have heard more than a few people comment on how "unusual" is a banana note in a perfume.  Is it?  I have seen some very odd notes in some perfumes, e.g. some of Lutens's perfumes have a "metallic" note.I own the original Sicily, and I cannot say I smell a ripe banana in the perfume, so maybe what is listed as banana is really a banana flower note?  Such a note would seem apropos to a fragrance in this tropical type genre, no?By the way, Sicily has been reissued as "Velvet Sicily."  I have not smelt the reissue, but a few reviewers say it smells the same, so for anyone who missed out on the original, I am happy to tell you its back!  😃

...The only reformulated Les Exclusif I have tried is Beige.  It is still identifiably Beige in the dry down, but it does not smell quite the same to me.

...Well, I noticed this before Thanksgiving 2019, so I rather doubt it has anything to do with the pandemic. I did find out that they now have a warehouse in Nevada, and some orders ship out of that warehouse if it would be more expedient for delivery. What I cannot fathom is why they would open a warehouse in the desert. Fragrances should be kept in a cool, dark, dry environment. It would have been better to choose a cooler, drier state.

...Talk to your credit card company about it. Perhaps they can help in some way. Re feedbacks, I understand that they can generate those pretty easily. Ultimately, it is best to buy from a reputable retailer or grey market source. I have been tempted by some things sold from Russia, but I always stop myself from pulling the trigger. It is just not worth the headache or the risk. Good luck. I hope you get it all resolved to your satisfaction.

...I think the lesson here is do not buy from Russia. If the price seems too good to be true, it is too good to be true. I know it is tempting to buy what seems like a really good price, but in the long run, you are just throwing away your money. This is not to say that there are not reputable sellers in Russia, but you have to beware, do your homework, and not take a risk if you are not certain that the seller is reputable. Otherwise, be prepared for a fight to get your money back, and worse still, be prepared to put heaven knows what on your skin if you use the product. They say the things they put into those fake fragrances are awful health risks. It is just not worth it.
