...So I emailed Calvin Klein's customer service and I was told to go to their webshop and check the product itself to ask for more info. I can only see the products available on their Dutch site and they only show a handful of their fragrances their, definitely not their whole range, so that was useless.

...Hold up, I'm sending an email to see if this is true. The website says they strive to answer my email in 48 hours, so fingers crossed.

...Right now I'm trying to ease down with buying perfume. I spent a fortune on it in 2022, I managed to spend less in 2023, but now I'm mostly trying to not waste the perfumes I already have. That said, from the ones on my wishlist, the one that is at the top of it is Archives 69. I had two samples of that one, one of them I already used up. Once the second one runs out, I will likely get a full bottle. It has this unapologetically confident energy about it that I love.And when I run out of my Costarela hair perfume, I'll get a regular bottle of Costarela Eau de Parfum. I love its beachy vibes. When I wear it, I just want to declare to people that my job is just beach.

...Usually I'm not a fan of blind buying. However, ever since Toy 2 Pearl was announced, I was obsessed with the bottle. It's colourful. It's tacky. It's cute. I love it. Is it worth buying a perfume for just the bottle? Usually not. So for the last months I've been visiting perfumery after perfumery, seeing if they had already stocked it so I could smell it. I haven't run into it once. I checked their websites. It wasn't there. Waited a week, checked again. They still didn't have it. Then I waited a month. They still didn't have it. And eventually I just caved. Based on the notes it would be something that I would love. Plus I just won NaNoWriMo and if I don't end up liking the perfume, the bottle itself is a nice enough trofee. It was quite the challenge finding a shop that ships it to the Netherlands. Even the Moschino website insisted they'd send it to Belgium (maybe this perfume isn't available here due to licensing or something like that?). So anyway, I have it now. The bottle is cute irl too. The first impression of the scent itself is positive.

...I looooove my bottle of Maltol & Cinnamon. I got it for my birthday last year. I didn't wear it much back then, only on freezing cold days, but I warmed up to it lately.

...Posting this because 1) I'm curious if other people have also come across scents that don't suit their bottles and 2) if this isn't just a me thing.I just posted a statement about a perfume that I tried a sample of. One of the things that stood out to me is that the scent really doesn't suit the colour of the bottle. To be exact: the statement was about Flora Gorgeous Magnolia which has a cool, cloudy purple bottle. That colour made me expect a cool scent, or a scent that contains a purple flower like lavender, lilac, violet or iris. Of course the name should have alerted me that I wouldn't smell any of those purple flowers. However, when I smelled this perfume on me, all I could think of was "that bottle should have been a warm, creamy yellow". Because whether Gucci likes it or not, Flora Gorgeous Magnolia smells like a warm, creamy yellow. And although I wouldn't necessarily call a warm, creamy yellow smelling perfume in a cool, cloudy purple bottle misleading, it certainly caught me off-guard. It's like biting into an ice cream that looks like a lemon sorbet, but then finding out it's actually a funky coloured chocolate ice cream. Sure, chocolate ice cream is nice too, I actually like both, but it's confusing when you were expecting something completely different. Anyway. What bottles made you expect a totally different scent than the perfume that was actually in them?

...Going for not one, but two freshies today. I've been plagued with headaches for the past week and I find that freshies tend to help ease the pain a bit. Luckily I hadn't put all of them away for the colder months:Costarela Hair Perfume This is not a Blue Bottle 1.6

...I own La Fin du Monde, it's one of my comfort scents.Other than that, I really like Archives 69. When I first smelled it, I liked it too, but I felt that you had to be of a certain caliber that I wasn't yet to be able to pull it off. Nowadays, I feel like I grew into it. The one that was originally at the top of my wishlist was The Ghost In The Shell. I still love it, but Archives 69 has beaten it. I'm still open to buying Putain des Palaces, although I already own a powdery perfume that I'd consider risqué. Another one I really enjoy is Hermann à mes Côtés me Paraissait une Ombre, but I don't think I'd wear it enough to warrant a purchase.

...I really like a good mint fragrance and just now I just thought to myself "wow, I would love to smell like a Tic Tac". But now I wonder: are the any perfumes out there that smell like Tic Tacs? Not just minty, but also with the sweetness and softness you find in those candies.

...Without a doubt Sex and The Sea. The first hour is okay, but after that it turns into bad pork on me. I don't know, but personally I don't associate the sea with bad, unseasoned tenderloins.

...I feel like I'm sort of almost done building my collection and I'm now in the phase of adding the finishing touches. In part thanks to the fact that my perfume shelf is almost full (same goes for the drawer for the perfumes that are not in season). Anyway, recently bought Baba Yaga. I got a sample earlier this year, which was really good. Then after one wear I sadly dropped it and it leaked all over the floor. I was unable to clean it, but my house had never smelled that good. I also got a bespoke perfume from the same brand, which was inspired by going on a walk by the channels in my city.

...@Violaodorata I don't even know where to begin. You have some wonderful discontinued gems in your collection. I remember when Womanity Eau de Parfum came out. Personally I found the idea of a perfume with a caviar note a bit icky back then and that's the reason why I didn't get it, but I knew a girl who wore it as her signature scent and it I had to admit to myself that it smelled wonderful. Also envious of your bottle of Boudoir Eau de Parfum. Sadly I never got to smell it myself, but I wish I had.

...@Lempi Not gonna lie, I checked your collection before and I was very intrigued by it. I had never heard of N.C.P. before and their bottles in your collection caught my eye. This inspired me to get a sample set. Olfactive Facet 102 - Ginger & Lime was among the four in my set and it's so lovely and fresh!

...I imagine him as an Old Spice Classic Cologne kind of guy. Nothing too extravagant, but decent and a classic nonetheless.What about Good Janet?

...I've tried Pax about a year ago. One of the best by that brand. Very lovely with out of this world longevity.

...Something I do is not spray fragrance on my wrists, but rather on the back of my arm. The back of my arm doesn't touch things that often and since the fragrance gets stuck in my arm hair it lasts longer. It's not that big of a deal when arm hair gets ruined by the alcohol in perfumes, unlike when it's ruins the hair on your head.
