The bottle is the best part

I blind bought this because I love the bottle and found a small 30 ml at a good price. Based off reviews and notes I knew it was going to be close to Moschinos I Love Love, but supposedly stronger and longer lasting.

It’s very close to I Love Love however the lemon is creamier and the oregano is very blunt. It is indeed long lasting which kind of surprised me for this scent profile but it easily stuck around for 6ish hours, however I’d say sillage is at the low end of moderate. It blooms nicely in the heat and stays fresh despite to herby-ness that tags along. I wish I could smell the freesia, it would take this next level.

It’s a little too masculine and the oregano just doesn’t sit well with me. It is a nice smell and a refreshing take on a summer citrus scent but this one is going into the trade or sell pile. I already know I won’t reach for it. Versace Dylan Turquoise or Versense have the same unisex citrus freshie vibe and I’d go for one of those instead.

Fragrance Notes

Top Notes: Sorbet, Lemon, Oregano.
Mid Notes: Sand, Freesia, Jasmine.
Base Notes: Cypress, Vetiver, Musk.

First thoughts, it's an Aromatic/Aquatic Sweet,
mixed with Jasmine and Sand accords.

- The opening begins with a airy lemon scent,
mixed with Jasmine, creating a very aquatic light citrus lemon mixed with Jasmine notes.

The mid and dry down has a sweet aromatic, Herbal and white floral scent.

- I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest. The projection and longevity is really good, it lasts approximately 9 hours on my skin, and projects for about an hour before turning into a skin scent. (Depends on skin types)

Overall Rating (8/10)

- Toy 2 Pearl is a sweet aromatic, white floral dominated fragrance for both men and women.
The sand accord makes this fragrance unique and definitely stands out with the other fragrances on the market.

First off, this bottle is stunning. This is my new favorite bottle. It's holographic and mirrored. I got this for the bottle since I collect pretty bottles.

Now for the juice. At first in the opening I got a little Light Blue Eau Intense but unfortunately that only lasted for 5 seconds and then it turned into this sharp citrusy, screechy, spicy mess. I think it's the oregano that throw this all off the most and just doesn't mesh with the rest of the notes. As a unisex fragrance I think this definitely leans more masculine.

Better than its reputation!

When I received a sample of this fragrance, I had no expectations at first. The packaging automatically triggers associations and I honestly had preconceptions. Nevertheless, I tried it and it just surprised me so positively. I like this fresh, slightly herbaceous fragrance and have even been asked about it. Toy 2 Pearl was my surprise of spring 2024. Refreshing, sparkling but still very different from other fragrances. In my opinion, it doesn't deserve the many bad reviews. It would certainly be better with a different bottle.
Nevertheless, it is a drugstore fragrance that is definitely recommendable if you want something fresh away from the typical aquatic and citrus bombs. In my opinion, it is pleasing but not mainstream and also has a recognition value.
The longevity is not bad at all for this type of fragrance. On me a few hours, on clothes even 1-2 days...
