Some have had a wall or section dedicated to houses from their country, others were just happy identify brands from their country. ... Hi all. American here. I am traveling to Zurich again for work and am always on the hunt for brands (or fragrances) only available locally. In Zurich specifically, I love Naro Parfumerie for example - and they have some great local stuff. What else am I missing out on? Swiss brands like Pernoire and Gisada are widely available here, so looking to see what I can buy in Zurich or have shipped to my hotel.

What is the most masculine Rose scent that is strong?

... I don't know if it counts as masculine leaning or not, but I quite like "Rose 31 (Eau de Parfum) | Le Labo". I also suggest what some others have said and say stick with Matiere Premiere and try decants of "Radical Rose (Eau de Parfum) | Matière Première" and/or "Radical Rose (Extrait de Parfum) | Matière Première". Other roses I like are "Dirty Rose (2024) | Heretic", "LP01 | Le Persona Fragrance", and "Rose of No Man's Land (Eau de Parfum) | Byredo" .

Amouage Bottle Sizes - no more 50ml/1.7oz?

... Has Amouage stopped making 50ml (1.7oz) bottles? Their website shows only 100mls (3.4oz) but I see 50mls on gray market sites (so I guess I kind of answered my own question). Wish they'd bring back a smaller size.

"Watery" notes

... JSO60 I haven't smelled either fragrance but, there are similar notes. Both contain rose, aldehydes, and musk. Also, the Le Labo contains ambrox and the Amougae has ambergris. This is what you may be picking up. Use the compare tool on the two fragrances and see what it tells you. Oh I totally forgot about that tool. Great suggestion, thanks!

"Watery" notes

... One of the things I love about "Existence | Amouage" is that it has, what I call, a "wateryness". It's the same note/accord I love about "Baie Rose 26 | Le Labo" but they don't share any notes and are totally different scents. What is the "watery" note or accord I am picking up in each? Are there others?

... I just bought a bottle of "Yuma | pernoire" and this might work for you. It smells like a crisp, snowy morning in the Alps (pernoire is a Swiss brand founded in Zurich, so that makes sense).

What’s your favorite vanilla fragrance and why?

... Vanilla is a favorite note of mine, and my most favorite vanilla is "Vanilj | Maya Njie". Cardamom, amber, cedarwood, musk, patchouli, and vanilla make for a spicy, barely sweet, woody vanilla that I think is amazing. Other favorites are "Vanille Antique | Byredo", "Vanilla Diorama | Dior", and "Jazz | Zernell Gillie".
