Fav Fragrance for Your Romantic Partner

Probably the biggest reason I got into collecting fragrances was to have my partner smell like all the things I always wanted my prince charming to smell like. I'll list a few of my favorites below.

What has been the perfect fragrance you've purchased for your romantic partner? Can you describe it and the type of occasions it's ideal for?

My favorites:

"Club Black | Mercedes-Benz" is the perfect sexy, mysterious, vanilla scent for the man you're most passionate about.

Le Mâle Le Parfum is darker with a woody iris lavender side. I love it for dinner dates and walks at night holding hands.

Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Absolutely is a sexy warm gourmand. I love it for movie nights when I can snuggle against him and fall asleep cozy on his chest.

Oud Minérale is a very unique dark salty aquatic spicy dream. It's my favorite on my partner when we're out on a sunny day so I can pull him closer, look him in the eyes, and tell him, "you're my everything."

Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette has been my best pick for my partner - bold, smoky, and perfect for date nights. For everyday romance, Ventana is fresh and clean, and for special evenings, La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Toiletteis unbeatable. Each one suits a different mood and occasion perfectly.

Rose of No Man's Land Eau de Parfum

I got it for my wife for Christmas and is now her signature scent. Smells so nice on her! Very delicate and classy green rose.

I also got her Poppy & Barley which has become a close second.

Boss Bottled Elixir

Amber pour Homme Eau de Toilette is my absolute favorite. Every time he wears it I end up commenting on it because it smells so good to me - clean and a little sweet. I like others he has, too, but this one is definitely my favorite.

Such a lovely thread! Me and my husband are both fragheads so we have bought each other several perfumes. Among my favourites that I have bought for him are these ones...

This Valentine's Day, which is also our wedding anniversary, I bought him Scandal pour Homme Absolu which is a gorgeous gourmand for cuddling and date nights. Another lovely cuddly gourmand that I got for him very recently is A*Men Fantasm.

For Christmas I got him Lempicka Green Lover which is a beautiful versatile fragrance fitting to several occasions and weathers - because it's fresh, it can be worn during the hot season, but it's also sweet which makes it great for colder season as well. It's wonderful for layering too. From the same genre sweet but fresh and great for layering I have bought him also Hawas Tropical, Hawas Malibu and Prestigiste No.4 - Helsinki Spirit Intense Affection.

Often I regret gifting scents I like to my (now ex) partners. Whenever I want to use it reminds me of them 😔 And not very cool to gift it to someone else now even if I still like it a lot.

Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense is kind of love and fate.

On the other hand there is Ajayeb Dubai Portrait which while sampling at first thought I said "If I have a partner I want her to smell like this". Yeah. So it's already quietly macerating on my shelf for months. 🤷🏼‍♂️😵

I adore the way Solo Eau de Toilette smells on him. We share most of our other fragrances, but that bottle ended up being pretty much exclusively his. It smells pretty good on me too, don't get me wrong, but... well, it smells like a perfume I'm wearing. On him, on the other hand... that mellow fruitiness with a touch of spice melts into his skin perfectly and feels like a natural extension of his own scent.

So now most of the time when I feel in a mood for Solo Eau de Toilette I tend to just ask him to wear it for me.

Boss Bottled Elixir reminds me of a cozy winter dinner date, warm woods, incense and such a comforting masculine vibe that makes me want to stay close to him all night. Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette is the one I love for night drives and evenings out. The smoky citrus scent feels bold, confident and incredibly attractive on him.

My partner's signature scent is Allure Eau de Parfum, I will forever associate that fragrance with her, but my favourite scent on her is Thundra (yeah it may sound strange but... well...). In general she tries a lot of things and has a preference for the vintage dense things, animalic, ambery, sort of old style-sexy. And this is the reason why my just arrived 10 ml Civet has been immediatly stolen. Such an hard life, well, at least I will smell it on her.

On me, Black Salt is very petrichor and gloomy. On my husband, the sea salt and lime come through more and it's absolutely stunning on him!

My favorite fragrance for my romantic partner is Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme. It smells warm, spicy, and a little sweet, which I think is perfect for date nights. I like it because it's attractive without being too strong.
