Tuberose and warm spices
The notes list sounds very floral, but I definitely smell more spices than just ginger and cardamom here. Not sure what exactly, maybe some turmeric? I can rule out cumin and anything hot and tingly. It's a warm, blended kind of spiciness, not the scratchy or dirty kind.
The florals are lovely. Tuberose is the most important note, but it's not the loud, bubblegummy kind of tuberose. Instead it's silky-smooth and creamy, then slowly turns more powdery in the drydown.
The spicy notes link the scent to India, but the soft white florals keep it from being a cliché of spice markets and curry. Both aspects of the scent are blended together masterfully. A very soft and subtle vanilla and tonka act as a bridge between the warm and the clean facets of the scent.
The white and gold color scheme of the bottle fits the scent perfectly.
I don't love this quite as much as Sevilla by the same house, which is a true standout scent to me, but it's a close second out of the Comtes Parfums I tried.
Recommended to all white floral lovers who enjoy a hint of warm spices.
