Interesting Facts

In the world of the French perfume house L'Orchestre Parfum, music and fragrances merge in a unique way. Behind L'Orchestre Parfum is Pierre-Constantin Guéros, a passionate perfumer and and musician. Pierre's passions were first awakened during his move to Barcelona, having previously studied marketing in Paris. In Barcelona, he then worked at a leading perfume company, where he came into contact with outstanding perfumers in the industry as well as creative fashion brands and designers.

When he was studying in Paris, Pierre played in several bands and developed his love for music. He continued this passion in his new home Barcelona. However, he found the language to be a barrier and longed for something new, bold and experimental. A desire grew within him to unite his two seemingly separate talents in a duet and offer people what could be a completely new experience. To accomplish this, he sought out a friend who was a perfumer and suggested that she create a perfume that would embody a particular song. At the next band performance, Pierre asked the audience to smell the fragrance while they listened to the music. The audience's reaction exceeded his expectations: People loved this new experience.

Thus, in 2017, the brand L'Orchestre Parfum was born, which creates fragrance compositions musically interpreted by virtuoso artists from around the world. Pierre is not only inspired by music, but each fragrance evokes a central instrument associated with a particular style of music.

In addition, each bottle has a QR code that can be scanned to hear the music of the fragrance. One example is "Piano Santal", created by perfumer Jean Jacques and interpreted by French jazz pianist Édouard Ferlet. The fragrance, with notes of milk, sandalwood, cedarwood, musk and cumin, is designed to evoke fresh white sheets and warm skin. At the same time, the additional musical component is intended to give the feeling of being in a majestic cathedral.
