Sunshine? Yes! Pancake? Hm.....
This scent simply wafted into my home. More precisely, the bottle was sent to me due to a mix-up, and since the return process threatened to become quite complicated, I eventually bought it, because maybe it was meant to be.

So I was extremely cautious during the first two test attempts, just a small spray on the wrist should suffice for the first impression. Hm, is this supposed to be a sweet gourmand? I primarily perceived something herbaceous and woody, which slightly puzzled me; the gourmand sweetness played a rather subordinate role. Then I remembered reading somewhere that the perception of a fragrance can vary greatly depending on the amount sprayed. So today, I finally followed up with a bolder test, spraying generously on skin, hair, and clothing, and off to the office.

For me, the scent starts with warm citrus notes and something that my nose wants to associate with the herb garden, but I just can't figure out what it could be. It’s probably the rosewood, as Angua described so beautifully, though I can’t quite place it yet. This note is also what makes the scent feel 'British' to me, a bit quirky and different from the simply flattering French or Italian vanilla-lemon cake scents (which I actually appreciate very much). As it develops, this note recedes a bit, and the fragrance becomes more lovely and sweeter and increasingly warmer, and even though this might not be very descriptive for a reader, for me, sunny, deep warmth is one of the predominant associations-neither muggy nor shimmering heat, nor spring-like warmth, no, pleasant summer warmth of about 25 degrees with sun rays that beautifully warm the skin and give it a golden shimmer. And even though I certainly wouldn’t have thought of comparing the perfume to pancakes, I find the idea of serving it with a syrup made of slightly warmed honey, vanilla sugar, and lemon juice increasingly fitting.

After about 8 hours, the scent gradually bids farewell, and I suddenly think of Berliners, fresh from the bakery. And there we finally have it, the comparison-aren't those things also called Berliner pancakes?

The sun shines lemon-yellow and cool, the pancakes are mild and unsweetened!
Perfect harmony far from a gourmand scent!

Great summer scent! First, sunny freshness, and then delicious, not overly sweet pancakes join in, heavenly!

Uiii, where's the pancake? A citrus-vanilla light gourmand, great for spring/summer. Still subtly noticeable after hours. Awesome!

Top notes very "raw/not well blended/coarse" and very dominant, also somewhat sour and bitter. Unbearable for me, I don't want to smell like this.

Carefree, lemony, then the light cookie aroma comes... nice... But you can get it much cheaper as shower gel etc. at DM, for example.

You can verbally stone me, but to me it smells like shampoo - sour-herb-fruity-clean, with a vanilla-fluffy-creamy base.

Zesty-citrusy start with a creamy rose, floral & synthetic-woody notes with vanilla. Honey is subtly noticeable!

Herbal tea with a lot of lemon that keeps increasing. Eventually just acidity. Is that a drink for pancakes?

A lot of bright wood drenched in lemon juice, unfortunately not much else going on.
