Armani's "Eau Pour Homme" with better endurance?

This fragrance could theoretically be called something else, for example, "Eredità della Colonia" (Colonia heritage) or "Colonia - Nuova Generazione" (Colonia - new generation). But the fragrance has rather less to do with a vision of the future. I suspect that the house wants to create a 2.0 version to the classic that many male as well as female stars wore in the early 20th century. Olfactorically, it's probably not enough to give the fragrance a completely new name. In the Blu Mediterraneo series, it also does not quite fit in and would probably go down there, because in the meantime all the colors for the different fonts on the bottle have been assigned. But back to the fragrance! The slightly feminine tendency that many associate with the Colonia classic, may have been the reason to market here a pure gentleman fragrance, although by now the term "unisex" must have arrived at each / marketing staff. In any case, the base of the new fragrance is the main difference from the classic. Here, the rose is exchanged for a rich load of woods, so that for the majority of noses a spicy, masculine scent with a fresh citrus kick-off can be perceived. There's no need to philosophize much about the perfect, citrusy kick-off with ADP. They've got that down and it's also in their tradition. Unlike many houses, they have understood (and probably experienced live with their dear grandparents in the country) what a real lemon smells like - a lemon that doesn't make it to our supermarket shelves, but doesn't make it to the supermarket recall because of its rough, blotchy peel as well as its small appearance. The scent is strongly reminiscent of the Armani classic "Eau Pour Homme", which has lasted just as long as the scent of many a hand soap from the drugstore since it was reformulated. For a little more budget, you get a real alternative here with quality and significantly longer endurance. It's also clear that you can't expect marathon durability with such colognes, especially since (hopefully) no extreme synthetics are used here, which would otherwise artificially dope the scent. Curious I am also on the assessment of one of the top Parfumo reviewers, who lives in a love-hate relationship with the Armani classic due to the poor endurance ;)

Occasion
The fragrance has the potential as an all-rounder and makes a good figure both on festive occasions and in the higher floors of a company.

Season
All-rounder candidate, but if you have to put him in a drawer, then it would probably rather the sunny transitional season as well as summer.

Stereotype wearer
Rather male, 40+, grounded, stylish, knows no T-shirts, but only shirts, now and then possibly polo shirts or short-sleeved shirts, dares no experiments, lives in his successful routine, on his fragrance shelf are very few perfumes, flacons in the form of fists, gold bars, cups or dumbbells, he does not know.

Conclusion
A great Colonia fragrance, classically interpreted with a great, spicy wood base.
